Nolan Ryan (1G) opened the scoring in the first period with his sixth of the season, and after North Shore tied the game early in the third on a goal by听Jaehe听Shin (1G), OHA continued to apply pressure, outshooting the Warriors 48鈥�24 overall. That persistence paid off 1:14 into overtime when Aaron Jackson (1G) buried the game-winner. In goal, Eric Bichel (23/24) was solid for OHA, stopping 23 of 24 shots, while Ben Boudreau (46/48) delivered a standout performance to keep North Shore in the game until the final moment.听

NAX set the tone early with six first-period goals and never looked back, outshooting Notre Dame 70鈥�14 in a one-sided affair. Offensively, Northern Alberta Xtreme was led by Yukon Kim (3G, 3A) and Mason Zimmer (3G, 1A), while Cale Royer (3G, 1A) added a hat trick of his own. Kendon Peacock (1G, 2A), Dalton听Sherwick听(1G, 3A), and Corbin Blatz (1G, 3A) also contributed multi-point performances as 15 different skaters recorded at least one point. In a matchup featuring two of the hottest teams in the league, CIHA riding a six-game winning streak and OHA unbeaten in nine straight, Calgary capitalized on key moments despite being outshot 41鈥�29. Cole Chudyk (1G) opened the scoring just 25 seconds in, while Jase Morey (1G) and Cohen St. Louis (1G, 2A) combined to generate momentum, with St. Louis scoring the game-winning goal shorthanded midway through the second period. The 黑料不打烊鈥檚 U15 division sees 16 games across the three-day weekend, beginning with Prairie Hockey Academy鈥檚 foray into Northern Alberta.听They鈥檒l听play NAX on Saturday, but first, clashed with OHA Edmonton on Friday afternoon. The beginning of the first period presented a much more听evenly matched听contest than the game would turn into, with听Jiseong听Kim鈥檚 (1G, 2A) opener for OHAE pegged back by a Lucas Duchscherer powerplay goal. That was the only goal Prairie scored, with their equalizer merely a prelude to an explosion of OHAE offence that followed, beginning with consecutive goals from Max Holland (2G) and Marek Fetter (2G, 1A) beginning a run of eight straight goals. OHAE鈥檚 palpable domination was听evident听as much on the shots on goal board as the scoreline, with the victors prevailing 9-1 in a game that saw them outshoot Prairie 62-15.听

Delta Hockey Academy White faces down a three-in-three this weekend, zipping around the Greater Vancouver Area for their multiple opponents this weekend, beginning with the North Shore Warriors on Friday. Delta鈥檚 potent powerplay sent them on their way, with Kayden听Krestanovich听(2G) and Easton Medved scoring goals on the man advantage to help听establish听Delta鈥檚 cushion, before Noah Yoo (2G, 1A) took over, scoring a pair quickly in the second. North Shore still gave Delta goaltender Logan Wagner a load to handle, with the DHA keeper stopping 35 of 37 in what turned into a 7-2 win.听

Okanagan Hockey Ontario听(1)听vs STAR Hockey Academy听(0)听U17听

STAR Hockey Academy鈥檚 U17 squad looked to early 2026 to be a听bounceback听after losing three of four to end December, a skid听they鈥檇听bounce back from on Friday against Okanagan Hockey Ontario. STAR found themselves absolutely peppered throughout with goaltender Ry Jeffries making 48 saves throughout the game to keep his team in the game. STAR had their chances as well, unsuccessful on four powerplay chances while the game remained scoreless. Eventually, Joshua Moncrieff broke through, scoring with four and a half minutes left to play, a goal that gave OHO the 1-0 lead that听wouldn鈥檛听see an edit until the clock ran out. Jeffries鈥� 48 saves on 49 shots听weren鈥檛听enough to get his STAR squad a result. Lohan Goolab was the less busy of the two netminders but still crucially made 17 saves on 17 shots to guide OHO to a shutout victory.听

Northern Alberta Xtreme听(2)听vs Delta Hockey Academy听(4)听U17听听

The first fifty minutes of action between the Northern Alberta Xtreme and Delta Hockey Academy were a back-and-forth affair that never saw a goal at five-on-five. However, throughout the game, 46 minutes in penalties were taken, leading to 12 powerplays, and it was on the man advantage that the scoring lifted off. Delta struck the first two through Graeme Burke (1G, 1A) and Robbie Rydberg before NAX scored two of their own, with Adam Bilajbegovic and Vaughn Livadney (1G, 1A) squaring the game at two. It took until the end of the third for one team to finally break through, doing so with the first even-strength goal of the game. Benjamin Rustia (1G, 1A) hadn鈥檛 scored in 23 games prior to this one, but his long shot from the left point found its way through traffic and through the goaltender to give Rustia his first of the season and Delta a lead late in the third that they wouldn鈥檛 squander. An empty-net insurance goal sealed Delta鈥檚 win.听

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy听(3)听vs BWC Academy听(6)听U17 Prep听

PCHA hit the ground running on Friday in their clash with BWC, but unfortunately for the Sea Devils, the game itself lasted longer than the first five minutes of the first period. PCHA led 2-0 in the early stages of the first period, but following that, it was all BWC. A pair of goals from the Lions at the end of the first tied the game at two, and in the second, BWC scored four more. Six straight goals were more than enough for BWC, with Jaden Brackett (2G), Kayden Pratt (1G, 2A) and Ryan Fox (1G, 1A) scoring in quick succession to give BWC a 6-2 lead through two. PCHA snatched one back late in the third period, ultimately a mere consolation in the 6-3 win for BWC.听

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna听(3/OT)听vs Delta Hockey Academy听(2)听U18 Prep听

Delta Hockey Academy鈥檚 U18 Prep squad looked to start their 2026 with something they struggled to string together in December: back-to-back victories. Delta鈥檚 red-hot October and November dwindled into a dismal December, losing three of four games, and scoring only four goals over those three losses. RHA Kelowna took the lead twice, but on both occasions, Delta fought back, with Kishan Saggu (2G) scoring two tying goals, both assisted by Dylan Hurren (2A). DHA鈥檚 constant fight ended in disappointment, though, with Ryan Sadovia (1G, 1A) forcing an offensive zone turnover. Sadovia tucked home the chance in overtime to seal the deal, giving RHAK the win, and Delta another game they鈥檇 feel they let slip.听

Edge School听(5)听vs BWC Academy听(4)听U17听

Friday will stand as a game both Edge School and BWC Academy鈥檚 U17 squads won鈥檛 forget until the end of the season, but for very different reasons. BWC exploded out of the gates in the first, with Max Joseph opening the scoring early and Jaidyn Bhandari (1G, 1A) eventually scoring the fourth straight for BWC to help them open up a 4-0 lead in the first period alone. BWC鈥檚 22 shots in the first period helped them explode out front, but with eight seconds left in the first, Curtis Troeger (3G) picked an excellent time to put up Edge School鈥檚 first of the game. Edge managed to slowly but surely turn the tempo of the game in their favour, and with just over two minutes to go in the second, Troeger scored again to make it 4-2 through two. The third period began with BWC still in front, but as he had been doing all game, Edge School鈥檚 Curtis Troeger popped up with another, completing his hat-trick and pulling Edge back within one. The equalizer came on Edge School鈥檚 only successful powerplay of the game, as within just eight seconds of the start of their fifth and final powerplay chances, they鈥檇 strike with the 4-4 goal through Kylar Alves (1G, 2A). The game was finally square, but with all of the momentum with the Edge School squad that had just erased a four-goal deficit, BWC wasn鈥檛 taking anything away from Edge. Jayden Maschke picked the perfect time to snap his five-game slump, picking up his first goal since November 16. Maschke鈥檚 goal was ultimately the difference, with BWC鈥檚 efforts at a response all stifled by Chase Miles (22/26) in between the Edge School pipes. The four-goal lead from BWC was slowly but surely chipped away, with Edge eventually prevailing thanks to five straight goals in the 5-4 win.听

 

CIH Academy听(0)听vs Lower Canada College听(12)听East U17 Prep听

There鈥檚 a phenomenon throughout the sport of hockey, one that is often directed at a game in which the two opponents are simply not on level footing in terms of quality. The players call it 鈥減oint night,鈥� a game that feels so confidently won by the prevailing team that the focus on systems and two-way hockey is replaced by a focus on running up the score. In all fairness to CIH Academy, they鈥檇 keep the game relatively close early on, but 27 shots against in the first period alone previewed the inevitable offensive onslaught. The points in the game were split by every skater but two, but leading the way were three LCC players with three or more points, including a hat-trick apiece from David Fellen (3G, 2A) and Mario Lapenna (3G, 1A) and three more points from Jeremy Riccardi (2G, 1A). Despite LCC scoring 12 goals on their 75 shots on net, their goaltender didn鈥檛 avoid stress himself, with Alessandro Sforza stopping 32 of 32 for the shutout win.听

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy听(3)听vs St. George’s School听(1)听U15听

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy plays host to Delta White twice this weekend, but began their weekend on Friday with St. George鈥檚 School in both teams鈥� first game of 2026. St. George鈥檚 gave PCHA all they could handle in all three periods of the Friday night clash, but unfortunately for the home team, PCHA stayed one step ahead. Gus Steeves鈥� 20th goal of the season had the Sea Devils in the lead, and while Edmund Hung鈥檚 first goal of the season might have tied the game, the contest wouldn鈥檛 stay level for long. Brayden Castelsky put PCHA in front through two periods, with the go-ahead goal for the Sea Devils coming with 92 seconds left in the second period. They鈥檇 score an insurance marker in the third period to safely take a two-goal advantage, and helping toward the victory was Sawyer Elke. He returned to form in the Sea Devils鈥� crease, bouncing back after two straight losses to make 24 saves on 25 shots in what turned out to be a 3-1 Friday victory for PCHA.听

South Alberta Hockey Academy听(2)听vs Northern Alberta Xtreme听(8)听U15 Prep听

The Northern Alberta Xtreme鈥檚 U15 Prep squad had failed to win just four games this season heading into their clash with SAHA on Friday night, and NAX鈥檚 first period signalled they weren鈥檛 about to allow another loss to be added to that list. Keatyn Devlin (2G, 1A) opened the scoring 76 seconds into the hockey game to begin what would be a four-goal first for NAX, building a lead they鈥檇 only add to from there. Justin Castonguay chipped in with two second-period goals of his own, and Kash Anderson stopped 24 of 26 in an eventual 8-2 NAX win.听

Notre Dame Hounds听(2)听vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg听(7)听U18 Prep听听

Both the Notre Dame Hounds and RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg鈥檚 U18 Prep squads looked to start their 2026 with a much-needed victory. RHA Winnipeg didn鈥檛 play any November games, making their last win a shootout victory back on November 28. They came into Friday hoping they could bounce back from four losses in their last five games, with Notre Dame similarly going in with an array of recent losses. Their last win was over the Wenatchee Wild in just their fourth game of the season, but unfortunately for them, RHA Winnipeg hit the ice on Friday, determined to be the successful side. RHAW scored the first six goals of the hockey game, led by Dylan Russell鈥檚 hat-trick. Notre Dame grabbed a couple to make the score look slightly better on their end, but ultimately, RHAW hit the Hounds鈥� net with 56 shots in a 7-2 win.听

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy听(1)听vs North Shore Warriors听(9)听U15 Prep听

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy faced the North Shore Warriors in the U15 Prep division on Friday to kick off their 2026, but unfortunately for PCHA, North Shore hit the ground running. John Shirreff (1G, 1A) scored 43 seconds into the game, starting an offensive explosion from a Warriors team that relentlessly ripped the Sea Devils apart. North Shore got three points apiece from Mattias Gallina (2G, 1A), Knox Leeson (2G, 1A), Will Thompson (2G, 1A), Cole Mitchell (3A), and Kieran Rattray (3A) in what ended up being a powerplay fuelled North Shore win, with the Warriors scoring four on the powerplay in a 9-1 win.听

BWC Academy听(4)听vs Yale Hockey Academy听(2)听U15听

BWC have a difficult swing this weekend, playing late on Saturday night before early on Sunday morning against STAR Hockey Academy. Their first of 2026 was a little but more orthodox than their eventual back-to-back series with STAR, with BWC visiting Yale Hockey Academy on Friday afternoon. Two goals in 36 seconds in the first period for BWC completely swung the game in their favour. RJ听Livingson听(2G) had opened the scoring for Yale, but in quick succession, Nolan Gallagher (2G, 1A) and Cooper McBride (2G, 1A) turned the game around. Gallagher scored again to make it 3-1, and while听Livingson听scored again to make it a one-goal game, it听wouldn鈥檛听matter, with McBride鈥檚 empty-net goal sealing BWC victory.听

Shawnigan Lake School听(0)听vs STAR Hockey Academy听(5)听U17 Prep听

STAR Hockey Academy鈥檚 U17 Prep squad have been superb this season, and to start their 2026 calendar, Shawnigan Lake School couldn鈥檛 counter STAR鈥檚 quality. Kyler Bush and Adam Neilson have been excellent for STAR all season and continued that into Friday, with both scoring in the first period. STAR would score three more following the first, including Dylan Gale鈥檚 first of the season. Erik Sims continued what鈥檚 been a stellar season, making 12 saves for the shutout victory in between the pipes for STAR.听

Bishop’s College School听(2/OT)听vs Selwyn House School听(1)听East U17 Prep听

A relatively evenly matched clash between Bishop’s College School and Selwyn House School ended in a manner that should have been predictable from the outset; overtime. Both teams controlled the game at different times, and both had their chances to score, with Isaac Huberman giving Selwyn the lead and Samuel Boutet scoring on the powerplay to tie things up. Thomas Roy ended up the hero, winning the game for Bishop鈥檚 just 47 seconds into overtime, with Roy now having scored in his last three games and in five of his seven games this season.听

Delta Hockey Academy Black听(5)听vs Okanagan Hockey Academy听(1)听U15听

Delta Hockey Academy Black started their Okanagan road trip on Friday, facing Okanagan Hockey Academy at the OHA Training Centre in the first of what will be two games between the two teams this weekend. DHA Black鈥檚 big guns came out firing in their first of 2026, with Bentley Gillis (1G, 1A), Stefano Trentalance (1G, 1A), and Zach Giles all popping in with goals, with the trio now having scored 23, 20, and 24, respectively. Max Chen scored on the powerplay for OHA, but Jack Delaney鈥檚 first of the season helped push DHAB even further in front. Holter Karpiak stopped 30 of 31 in the Delta crease to lead his team to victory.听

North Shore Warriors听(1)听vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy听(6)听U17 Prep听

The North Shore Warriors鈥� U17 Prep squad had to have felt Friday should have yielded a better result than it did. After all, they outshot Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy in this game, hitting the opposition鈥檚 net with 39, and took the lead through Vladimir King鈥檚 first-period icebreaker. AJ Fu (1G, 1A) tied the game late in the first for CDA, and with goaltender Jackson Wagner (38/39) shutting the door, CDA鈥檚 comeback was in full swing come the second. Adam Plfugrath-Davis led the way with two goals and a pair of points apiece from Camden Masterson (1G, 1A) and Knox Vogel (1G, 1A), helping propel CDA to an eventual 6-1 win.听

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg听(6)听vs Edge School听(7/OT)听U17 Prep听

Two extremely talented U17 Prep squads put on quite the show Friday, with both RHA Winnipeg and Edge School producing performances worthy of an excellent victory. Markus Knaub (4G) scored on the powerplay to give RHAW the lead, but Evan Lynch (3G, 2A) responded with a shorthanded goal of his own to tie things up. The back-and-forth manor of goals only heated up as the game went on, with Knaub and Lynch continuing to be very involved as things went on. Edge School led 2-1, then RHAW tied it at two. To start the second, though, RHAW took a 3-2 lead, with Knaub completing his hat-trick on that goal, before Lynch scored again to tie the game at three. That pattern continued further; RHAW鈥檚 fourth goal was responded to by Edge School, and RHAW鈥檚 fifth was pegged back by Nolen Miller鈥檚 (1G, 4A) equalizer. In overtime, Evan Lynch took the game away from RHAW himself, going end-to-end on a rush that ended with Lynch hitting the short-side top corner to win Edge the 7-6 contest.听

Northern Alberta Xtreme听(1)听vs OHA Edmonton听(3)听U18 Prep听

OHA Edmonton鈥檚 U18 Prep squad finished December with two losses that would still be stinging, losing at the hands of Edge School and Calgary International Hockey Academy in a pair of games that could have seen them stamp their authority as the main threat in the division. Instead, they鈥檇 drop the last two of 2025, making them incredibly motivated to start 2026 on a high note. The Northern Alberta Xtreme provided them with a very tough test to kick off the calendar year, but ultimately, OHAE was too much for NAX. AJ Tarnowski (1G, 1A) scored shorthanded in the first, and Iljas Hasuew scored on the powerplay in the second to open up a 2-0 OHAE lead through two periods. NAX pulled one back, but OHAE hit the empty-net to seal a 3-1 win, led by a stellar showing from Cam Hoose, who made 27 saves on 28 shots in the win.听

SAHA, from start to finish, dominated the Northern Alberta Xtreme鈥檚 Female U18 Prep squad on Friday night. The ever-dangerous Teylor Crocker (1G, 1A) scored on the powerplay in the first, and while NAX鈥檚 second period was its best, SAHA鈥檚 quality in the first and third periods was too much for NAX to handle. SAHA outshot NAX 16-2 in the first and 22-2 in the third to charge their way into a 7-1 win, led by two goals from Riley Bourque and three points from Kapri Coston (1G, 2A).听

Delta Hockey Academy鈥檚 U15 Prep squad have some of the top names in the division this season, with five DHA players popping up with multi-point efforts in Friday鈥檚 game against OHA. DHA started strong with two in the first period, and while at one point, OHA had managed to tie the game, their pushback was a mere delay to Delta鈥檚 dominance. Braelyn Nunley (1G, 2A), Mazen Green (2G), Eli Vickers (1G, 1A), Carson Brown (1G, 1A), and Ronan Gow (1G, 1A) combined for 11 points in DHA鈥檚 7-3 victory.听

Prairie Hockey Academy听(6)听vs Okanagan Hockey Academy听(2)听U17听

Prairie Hockey Academy prevailed 6-2 over OHA in the 黑料不打烊鈥檚 featured game on Friday, one led by Prairie鈥檚 top players; Soren Hayden (1G, 1A) brought his point total up to 37 with a shorthanded goal at the beginning of the third. Reid Kawaguchi (1G, 2A) chipped in with three points, and while PHA鈥檚 win听wasn鈥檛听long in doubt, OHA still peppered Prairie鈥檚 crease with chances. Kayden Gregoire stopped 33 of听the 35 shots he faced in what ended in a 6-2 win.

The Pacific Coast Hockey Academy鈥檚 U17 squad finished 2025 on a very high note, winning four of their last five, and hoped to continue that fine run of form into 2026. That looked in jeopardy through twenty minutes thanks to Grayson Speirs鈥� goal giving RHA Winnipeg the lead through one, but from there, PCHA exploded away from their opposition. Trent Porter (2G, 2A) scored two in the second period, Jackson Squire (2G, 1A) scored two in the third, and Nixon Szadkowski (1G, 2A) chipped in with three points, including a goal in the third. RHAW didn鈥檛 have anything to counter a potent PCHA powerplay which scored four goals in the game to lead the Sea Devils to a 5-1 win.听

North Shore Warriors听(0)听vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy听(8)听U18 Prep听

The North Shore Warriors snapped a streak of six straight losses in their most recent game, an 8-2 victory over Coeur d鈥橝lene Hockey Academy back on December 12. CDA won six straight games to begin November, but following their most recent victory, they鈥檇 sputter. They lost four straight to end 2025, with CDA鈥檚 game against North Shore their only home games for nearly seven weeks, heading on the road for seven straight after today. Their hopes that they could pick up their first 2026 win against North Shore on Friday didn鈥檛 yield a positive result in the first, but come the second, CDA raced away with the game in their hands. Ewen Willers (2G, 3A) scored the first and was involved throughout with five points in total, leading CDA to a five-goal second period late. CDA added three more in the third with three points apiece from Nathan Monteith (1G, 2A) and Easton Margettie (3A), helping CDA to the 8-0 win.听

St. George’s School听(2)听vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna听(5)听U17 Prep听

听RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna鈥檚 U17 Prep squad had an extremely busy November, playing ten games in the thirty days alone. Despite the heavy workload, RHA Kelowna鈥檚 results were more than respectable, winning nine of ten. They hadn鈥檛 played since November 30, though, while St. George鈥檚 School won four of their six games in December. St. George鈥檚 showed that they were the more in-form of the two teams in the first period, with Logan Okamura鈥檚 goal sending them into the break with a 1-0 lead. If the first period was RHAK getting their legs underneath them, the second was them taking off. RHAK scored five goals on 20 second-period shots with two points apiece from Jack Leslie (1G, 1A), Nixon Whieldon (1G, 1A), and Kaius Millan (1G, 1A), leading RHAK into the third period with a commanding lead. Matthew Palmer stopped 25 of 27 in RHAK鈥檚 5-2 win.听
