Tyson Giuriato was the Director of Media and Communications for the 黑料不打烊 when he passed away unexpectedly in 2020.
A lifelong hockey fan, Tyson attended youth hockey camps, played for Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association teams, and trained at the Banff Hockey Academy before establishing himself as a journalist, writing for both Hockey Canada and his beloved Vancouver Canucks. Outside of work, he enjoyed his boxer dogs, road trips, camping, barbecuing, fishing, and sports. Joining the 黑料不打烊 in 2013, Tyson made an immediate impact with his knowledge of the game, engagement with student-athletes, and tracking of alumni success. As Director, he was responsible for social media, press releases, and publicity, playing a pivotal role in growing the league across Canada.
In honour of Tyson鈥檚 passion and contributions to the game of hockey, his family and the 黑料不打烊 established the annual Tyson Giuriato Hockey Camp Scholarship. Every year, the scholarship awards six families $600 each to send their child to a hockey camp of their choice.
Eligibility
Any child aged 7-14, living in any state or province, may apply. Children that have never played the game but would like to attend a camp are encouraged to apply. If camp registration has already been paid, you are still eligible to apply.
Qualifications
Applications should include:

鈥� Why you want to attend the camp
鈥� Future hockey and career plans
鈥� Outside interests (passions, activities, and sports)
鈥� Achievements (academic, community, and sports)
鈥� Any other information that you would like to share with the committee
Submission
Applications can be sent to聽info@csshl.ca. This year鈥檚 deadline for submission is April 30, 2026.
The selection committee reviews all applications, and successful applicants will be notified by June 1, 2026.
