That lead would double in the first as Eric Schrock听(1G, 1A)听scored 1:18 later and Dane Irwin听(1G, 1A)听tallied a power play marker 10 minutes after that.听Affiliate George Matheos got CIHA on the board 2:21 into the second with his first goal for the U17 Prep squad. Nixon听Bettenson听(1G, 2A)听countered with a power play goal late in the second to restore the听four-goal听cushion heading into the third.听A Max Mullen power play goal midway through the third gave CIHA some life but Lucas Fisher quickly responded for SAHA with his fifth of the season to secure the 6-2 win. Chase Nielson (34/36) made 34 saves to pick-up his seventh win of the season.听听

A Ryder Fiddler power play goal for ISA opened the scoring 14:07 into the first period. Ramsey Thompson听(2G)听tied the game with 31 seconds听left in the period,听as the two teams headed into the intermission tied 1-1, with 13 shots each. The second and third took a massive turn in Prairie鈥檚 favour as they scored听6听in the second and听4听in the third, rattling off 11 unanswered.听Bryden Wagner (3G, 1A) scored the game winner 1:12 into the second and completed his hat-trick with 1:23 remaining.听Reid Florent (3G) would record a hat-trick of his own while defensemen Kohen Peers (1G, 3A), Hudson Pineda (3A)听and Braden Thompson (3A) all听tallied a hat-trick of assists.听Luke Ratzlaff (30/31) and Holden听Fauchon听(46/47) were in net for their respective teams.听听

Prairie Hockey Academy听(3)听vs Notre Dame Hounds听(1)听U15听

Jimmy听Smith鈥檚听first goal of the season gave Prairie a 1-0 lead midway through the opening period. Titan Sauter scored just 13 seconds into the second to double the lead while Lucas Duchscherer鈥檚 eighth of the year gave Prairie a 3-0 advantage heading into the third and final period.听Gus Buffington ended the Cameron听Rusyniak听(33/34) shutout bid 4:34 into the third as Notre Dame got onto the board with a power play marker. However, Prairie听would hold on from there to secure the win. Cole Kuzyk (36/39) faced 39 shots in the loss.听听

South Alberta Hockey Academy听(4)听vs Calgary International Hockey Academy听(2)听U18 Prep听

SAHA came out firing on all cylinders as Paxton Cabana and Kutcher Aquila听(1G, 1A)听scored听power play听markers and Grady McLeod scored even strength to give their team a 3-0 first period lead.听A power play goal from Chad Clark听(2G)听in the second and an even strength tally in the third brought CIHA within one with 15:14 left to play. CIHA would push for the tying goal, outshooting SAHA 12-6 in the third, but a听Damen Vanderberg听(1G, 1A)听power play goal and听28 total saves from Hunter Zawislak (28/30)听secured the SAHA听victory.听Ben Hakes (34/38) faced 38 shots in net for CIHA.听听

South Alberta Hockey Academy听(2)听vs Calgary International Hockey Academy听(4)听U15 Prep听

Eric Sexton gave CIHA a 1-0 lead 7:00 into the game as he beat Patrick Curtis (25/29) for his 11th听goal of the season. Rowan Oddie tied the game 4:30 into the second but Kale Okubo was quick to respond for CIHA, doing so 56 seconds later. Mason听Bryksa听and Loic Lebel听(1G, 1A)听then traded power play goals to close out the second period. In the third, CIHA captain Kai Dingwall secured his team’s victory as he scored his 18th听goal of the season 5:12 into the period. Ty听Tunke听(27/29) would make 27 saves to听grab his fifth win of the season.听听

Calgary International Hockey Academy听(6)听vs Edge School听(3)听U17 Prep听

Ryder Johnsen opened the scoring just 53 seconds in to give Edge an early 1-0 lead.听Max Mullen tied the game midway through the first with his sixth, but Evan Lynch听(1G, 1A)听was quick to restore the Edge lead with a power play marker. Tomas听Figura听(2G)听evened the score once again with 2:13听remaining听in the frame, but another Edge power play goal, this time from Luke McGuire, put them back ahead听with 22 seconds left in the period. Edge would dominate the third on the shot clock, outshooting CIHA 17-5, but it was CIHA who owned the scoreboard. Rylan Wood听(2G, 2A)听tied the game on the power play and a听Figura听goal 1:08 later gave them their first lead. Wood then added his second midway through the period before a Duke Lesnar empty netter secured the comeback victory. Colton Lutz (35/38) and Delano听Pockar听(27/32) were in net for their respective teams.听听

OHA Edmonton听(4)听vs Calgary International Hockey Academy听(5/OT)听U18 Prep

Calum Giese scored the lone first period goal as CIHA held a 1-0 advantage after 20. Things took a swing in OHA Edmonton鈥檚 favour in the second as Gavin Gaul, Owen Morrow, Ben听Shaw听and听Jihwan听Kim听(1G, 1A)听all found the back of the net. However, CIHA would not go away quietly in the third as Jacob听Balaberda听(1G, 1A)听scored once and Mason Moran听(3G)听twice, including the game tying goal with 2:58 remaining, to send the two teams to overtime. In OT Moran completed the hat-trick with a power play goal 1:07 into the extra frame to complete the CIHA comeback and give his team a 5-4 win.听听

Northern Alberta Xtreme听(5)听vs Edge School听(4)听U18 Prep

Second ranked Edge School (11-6-2) hosted third ranked Northern Alberta Xtreme (13-3-0) in a Battle of Alberta on Thursday. Easton Arndt opened the scoring for the visitors 1:45 in but Ashton McCann answered with a power play goal for Edge 1:10 later. Will Kelts and Kalen Miles (1G, 1A) then scored exactly one minute apart midway through the first to give NAX a 3-1 lead. Julian Revel (2G, 1A) brought Edge within one with their second power play goal, this time with 1:25 left in the first. Levi Ellingsen (1G, 1A) countered with a power play goal of his own in the second but Drew Wilkinson (1G, 1A) responded for Edge just 24 seconds later. NAX defenseman Cruz Jim scored his third of the year late in the frame to give NAX a two goal cushion heading into the third. After Carsten Leyerzapf (20/25) stopped a Thayne Wasyluk penalty shot early in the third to keep in a two goal game, Revel scored his second of the evening to bring Edge within one with 13:45 left to play. However, Matthew Coyle (28/32) denied Edge of an equalizer, clinching the NAX victory.听
