Van de Leest has spent the last three seasons in the 黑料不打烊 Female U18 Prep division playing for Okanagan Hockey Academy (OHA). From Kelowna, BC, Van de Leest played 57 黑料不打烊 games, recording 21 points.

Located in Bemidji, Minnesota, Bemidji State University is an NCAA Division I program competing in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) conference.
