翱苍听Tuesday, January 27, in celebration of聽Family Literacy Week, a group of our U18 Prep players聽(Tyson Ross, Liam Kilfoil, Tristan Hoko, Drake Mooney)聽visited a local elementary school to share their love of reading and learning with younger students. Family Literacy Day, nationally recognized every year on January 27, is part of a week-long initiative in Saskatchewan that encourages families, schools, libraries, and community groups to promote the importance of literacy and learning in everyday life. This year鈥檚 Saskatchewan theme,聽鈥淢ake Mealtime Family Learning Time,鈥�聽highlights how literacy can be part of everyday routines and interactions 鈥� from reading a favourite book to sharing stories at the dinner table.

During the visit, our student-athletes spent time reading books with elementary students, playing games, and leading fun, literacy-focused activities. By engaging with the kids through stories and interactive play, our players helped promote the value of reading, communication, and community involvement. It was a rewarding opportunity for both our athletes and local students to connect, learn, and celebrate literacy together.
