A jam-packed听U18 Prep schedule opened with two sides who would be viewing the other as their chance to pick up rare wins, with the Wild specifically coming in having won just once this season prior. The Wild and Hounds traded first-period goals to take a 1-1 tie into the second period鈥檚 latter stages, before a late goal in the middle frame from Wenatchee鈥檚 Sean Strasser (1G, 1A) gave the Wild a lead heading into the third. Both sides had their chances, but it was Wenatchee to prevail, thanks in part to goaltender Mason Lynnes (30/31) stopping all 10 shots he faced in the third. Anderson Carter picked up two, adding to Benjamin Mikan鈥檚 powerplay goal in the third to lead Wenatchee to win number two of their U18 Prep season.听听

Delta Hockey Academy (5) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep听听

Many have tried but few have managed to best Delta Hockey Academy in the U17 Prep division so far this season. Their latest challengers, Prairie Hockey Academy, face Yale and BWC on Saturday and Sunday, meaning this first hurdle against Delta was going to be their toughest task left on their February schedule. There听wasn鈥檛听much separating these two teams on Friday, with a pair of Owen Grassick (3G) goals in the first period leading PHA into the second with a lead. As Delta often does, they were able to respond in the second period, scoring two of their own to take the lead into the third, before once more, Grassick struck. The Prairie听forwarded听completed his hat-trick just five minutes into the third period to square things at three, with three quarters of the third still available for a winner to be found.听Ultimately, it听came down to an unlikely DHA hero to make the difference, with forward Yianni听Sergiannidis听popping in with just his second goal of the season to snatch Delta a late go-ahead goal. After Gassick鈥檚 goal in the third, DHA鈥檚 Jack Utsunomiya (35/38) stopped the rest of Prairie鈥檚 12 shots in the last twenty to lead his team to the win.听听

Notre Dame Hounds (2) vs North Shore Warriors (6) U15 Prep听听

The North Shore Warriors鈥� U15 Prep contingent came听into听Friday鈥檚 clash with the Notre Dame Hounds off four negative results to kick off February, including a 13-3 loss to the ever-potent Yale Lions in their most recent game. Facing down a 1-0 deficit through twenty minutes of play against the Hounds on Friday, the team talk in between the first and second periods for North Shore was听seemingly game-changing. The Warriors took the game to Notre Dame in the final two periods, outshooting the Hounds 45-23 over the final forty minutes and turning that domination into managing to outscore their opponents 6-1 over that stretch. Nicholas Sheldon (2G) scored to tie the game in the second period and break the tie in the third for the Warriors听en听route to an eventual 6-2 win.听听

Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (5) vs Notre Dame Hounds (3) U17 Prep听听

Heading towards Friday鈥檚 game between the Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy and Notre Dame Hounds in the U17 Prep, CDA鈥檚 Gavin Payne was on an absolute heater. After having gone seven games without a point earlier in the season, Payne has caused massive headaches for听virtually all听of his opponents since the calendar turned over to 2026. In his seven most recent games prior to Friday, Payne had mustered a point in all but one, scoring five goals and nine points in the process. Friday, though, was the best performance听we鈥檝e听seen Payne have this season. He scored the only goal of the first period to give Coeur d鈥橝lene the lead before听he鈥檇听get their party started in the second. Payne scored shorthanded and provided a primary assists mere minutes apart to help CDA听open up听a 3-0 lead, but following, Notre Dame came storming back. A late goal in the second started a comeback that saw the Hounds score three straight to square the game up at three heading towards the final minutes of the game. An ill-timed too many men penalty take by the Hounds thrust CDA onto a late powerplay, one which produced for them a breakthrough, with Payne and Camden Masterson (2A) providing assists for Brayden Lee鈥檚 go-ahead goal. Up one late, Payne managed to complete his three-goal and five-point performance by putting the game to bed with an empty-net goal to seal his team鈥檚 win.听

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (1) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (4) Female U18 Prep听听

It鈥檚听been a near-impossible task to best RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna in the Female U18 Prep division so far this season, with only Delta Green managing to best RHAK since November heading towards Friday. If anyone else would, SAHA鈥檚 chances on Friday looked the best, with the Medicine Hat-based group having won eight straight games. SAHA sprinted into a two-goal lead early through goals from Teylor Crocker and Riley Bourque. With the multi-goal cushion听established, SAHA听largely soaked听up the RHA Kelowna chances, with only an Alida Korte shorthanded goal getting behind Mika Yokota (47/48) who was otherwise perfect.听Interestingly enough, Yokota鈥檚听contributions would also听contain听an assist, as her save started the play that eventually earned SAHA their third goal of the night, scored by Emily听Gerdevich. Hallie Parada (1G, 1A) added her second point of the night with a goal in the third to seal the deal in SAHA鈥檚 upset victory over the second-ranked RHA Kelowna.听听

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (4/OT) U18 Prep听听

Because of the significant travel required for Pacific Coast Hockey Academy and Prairie Hockey Academy to meet one another in the 黑料不打烊, their two U18 Prep squads play only once this season, Friday at Edge School in Calgary. The game unfolded like some sort of see-saw with each period unfolding in听a similar manner. PCHA scored first, with Prairie tying the game through the first period. Prairie took the lead in the second, only for PCHA to be the team to tie the game this time around. Prairie led 3-2 early in the third, and as the game marched towards its conclusion, it looked as if Tristan Hoko鈥檚 go-ahead goal might be enough for PHA to scrape over the finish line. That听wasn鈥檛听the case, though, thanks to Sea Devils star Roman Lavery tying the game with 106 seconds to play. Unfortunately for PCHA, Lavery鈥檚 equalizer was as happy as the day would get for the boys from Vancouver Island. It took a mere 70 seconds of overtime for Prairie to settle the game with Brady Keith (1G, 1A) breaking through to seal the deal. Keith went without a point in his most recent game last Sunday, but prior to that, Keith had amassed a 12-game point streak. He picked the perfect time to get back on the scoreboard.听听

Mount Academy听(8)听vs King Heights Academy听(0)听East U18 Prep听听

Mount Academy went to work against a short King Heights bench, potting eight in a shutout victory.听Cohen Paul (2G, 3A) led the charge with a听five-point听outing听while defenseman Jacob Jardine (2G) doubled his goal total on the season with a pair of goals.听Nokia, Finland native Eppu听Makinen (27/27) recorded 27 saves for his first career 黑料不打烊 shutout.听听

Okanagan Hockey Ontario听(2)听vs North Shore Warriors听(7)听U18 Prep听听

Chase Heide听(2G, 1A) was able to grant the Warriors the early lead, scoring the lone goal of the first only 30-seconds into play. Adam Clark (1G, 1A)听would put OHO on the board early in the second off a powerplay opportunity. OHO would show some pushback after the game tying goal, but Sidney听Belfoy听(2G, 1A)听would take matters into his own hands, scoring back-to-back goals for North Shore听in under two minutes of play. Heide would bury another for the Warriors before the frame听came to a close.听OHO would听pot another powerplay marker in the third thanks to听Tristan Sarra-Bournet听(1G, 1A), but once again the Warriors would answer back听with another three unanswered goals.听Kai Ebert (30/32) played perfect at even strength for the Warriors, making 30-saves in the win, only surrendering those two goals on the PK.听听

St. George’s School听(4/SO)听vs OHA Edmonton听(3)听U17 Prep听听

Adam Benn听and Beck Charlton听would put the Saints up by a pair听early in the second, but OHA Edmonton would storm back听under a minute later. Prince Albert Raiders prospect Chayse听Fedoriuk听(1G, 1A) would ignite a chain of three unanswered for OHA Edmonton, capped off with a powerplay marker off the stick of Kaysun听Brunham听(1G, 1A).听In the third,听St. George鈥檚 would make the most out of their powerplay opportunity as Nathaniel Moore听potted home his seventh of the season.听Enough to force extra time, this match would听ultimately be听decided in the shootout where Benn would strike in the听final round,听putting the Saints back in the win column.听听

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy (2) U15 Prep听听

Two of the most dominant U15 Prep squads in the league hit the ice at the Summit Centre around the same time on Friday, with Delta Hockey Academy鈥檚 clash with RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg and Yale Hockey Academy鈥檚 game against the Calgary International Hockey Academy occurring simultaneously. Delta had rattled off twelve straight wins since they dropped their last two league contests of November 2025. The perfect couple听months听for Delta faced an incredibly difficult test in the form of RHA Winnipeg, who had managed to score 46 goals in just six games in 2026 thus far. In the Delta crease, Jace Zemanek (23/24) stemmed the tide of the red-hot RHAW attack, providing the foundation for Delta to build on. Colby Walker scored the only goal of the first period to听open up听a DHA lead, only to be built on in the second period through Johann Zhao scoring his second goal in three games. Max Sanders scored his first of the month for Winnipeg to get them back within one, but听that鈥檚听as close as the game would get, with DHA winning by one.听听

Calgary International Hockey Academy (1) vs Yale Hockey Academy (6) U15 Prep听听

Looking to follow the example of the other top dogs in the U15 Prep division, Yale Hockey Academy dominated the entirety, especially the听early stages, of their game against the Calgary International Hockey Academy. YHA outshot CIHA 24-8 in the first period alone, with Teagen听Dernisky听(1G, 2A) scoring a goal and providing a primary assist to lead Yale into the second period ahead by two. Yale added two more on the powerplay to extend the lead further, and with the Lions having won sixteen straight games coming in, the lead听they鈥檇听built was safe. Three in the third sealed Yale鈥檚 6-1 win.听

Bishop’s College School (3) vs Kuper Academy (7) East U17 Prep听听

Kuper Academy have been among the cream of the crop in the Eastern U17 Prep division, a trend that would continue into the beginning of this weekend in their opening game against a very capable Bishop鈥檚 College School squad.听Bishop鈥檚听managed to tie the game at one in the first after going behind, but in the second, Kuper鈥檚 big guns fired them further in front of Bishop鈥檚 than BCS could recover from. Thomas Issa (2G, 1A), Alessio Servello (2G, 2A), and Angelo Colletti Jr. (1G, 4A) combined to factor in on five of Kuper鈥檚 seven goals in the game, with Servello鈥檚 first of two standing as the eventual game-winner.听听

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (4) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (1) U17 Prep听听

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy鈥檚 U17 Prep squad have faced down a difficult schedule to begin 2026, winning just one of eight heading into Friday鈥檚 clash with PMHA. Despite the run of negative results, PCHA鈥檚 performances have inspired the hope听they鈥檇听be able to finish the season on a high note. Their only听previous听victory of 2026 was by virtue of a 1-0听shutout,听and it would be a similarly defensively听strong performance听on Friday to propel them over PMHA. Owen Hyde (2G, 1A) scored two in the first and Sea Devils goaltender Eliott Horner (21/22) stood tall to help protect PCHA鈥檚听early established听lead. Cameron Young-Thompson (1G, 1A) scored on the powerplay in the third to help PCHA extend the lead further and the Sea Devils won their first game of the month.听听

North Shore Warriors (2) vs Balmoral Hall School (3) Female U18 Prep听听

Save for a loss at the hands of RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg, Balmoral Hall School鈥檚 Female U18 Prep contingent听has听done nothing but dominate in 2026 so far, outscoring Pilot Mound 23-4 in two wins. North Shore made things significantly more difficult for Balmoral than BHS had听it听last weekend, but despite the challenge the Warriors posed, Balmoral fought through. Mya Rosenbaum (1G, 1A) gave Balmoral a lead in the first, and after the Warriors scored a tying goal, Payton Henwood (3A) would provide two more primary assists on goals from Kate听Chuback听(1G, 1A) and Hudson Bradley to extend the Balmoral lead further than North Shore could recover from. Sasha Coutu (34/36) stopped 13 of 14 in the third for Balmoral to help them over the finish line 3-2.听听

Shawnigan Lake School (1) vs Edge School Female (4) U18 Prep听听

Shawnigan Lake School鈥檚 Female U18 Prep squad did everything in their power to get a result out of their clash on Friday with Edge School.听They鈥檇听won three of their last four heading in and produced their chances, but at every turn, Edge School goaltender Alexis Ehrman (42/43) was there. Ehrman, a St. Cloud State University (NCAA) commit, shut the door on a pair of early Shawnigan Lake power plays as part of her 12 saves in the first period and building off her play, Edge School took the lead shorthanded through Chloe Vetter鈥檚 (1H, 1A) second goal of the season. After a goal from their PK, Sara Hettle (1G, 1A) produced her second goal of the season on an Edge School powerplay to extend the lead further in听the听second period, with the lead enough for Edge to hang on for the win. Ehrman starred with 42 saves in her victory.听

Okanagan Hockey Academy (1) vs Edge School (4) U18 Prep听听

A dead even first twenty minutes of play between the Okanagan Hockey Academy and Edge School鈥檚 U18 Prep squads ended up being OHA simply biding their time before Edge finally broke through. Charlie听Peppinck听(18/22) did his best to keep OHA in the game, but in the second, Charlie Tobin broke through for Edge before Ashton McCann (1G, 2A) scored on the powerplay to double their lead before the end of the second. McCann earned two primary assists on two more goals in the third from Edge School to lead the Mountaineers to a win.听听

King’s Edgehill School (2) vs Rothesay Netherwood School (8) East U18 Prep听听

After being handed an 8-0 smackdown at the hands of Bourget College in their most recent 黑料不打烊 game, Rothesay Netherwood School experienced some varied results in showcases and challenges that followed. RNS鈥� pursuit of a win looked good after one, with Kilian Alves Pereira putting them up two, but King鈥檚 Edgehill fought back with two quick goals early in the second to tie the game. Grady Betts tying the game at two for KES simply proved a preamble to Rothesay springing away with the lead, and听subsequently, the win. Gavin Smith scored two goals and Drew听Moores听(1G, 2A) pitched in with three points to lead Rothesay Netherwood to a massive 8-2 win.听

STAR Hockey Academy (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3) U17 Prep听听

STAR had won 15 consecutive games heading into Friday, but RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg had managed to win seven of their last eight games after an overtime loss to Edge School in their first game of 2026. Colton Ross scored first for RHA Winnipeg, and with the lead established, RHAW鈥檚 Brady Robert (34/35) took over. The RINK Winnipeg goaltender stood tall to stop every single shot he faced at five-on-five, and with his team ahead by two goals through forty minutes, Robert stood on his head in the third, making 13 saves on 13 shots to help RHAW over the line for a 3-1 win. 听

CIH Academy (0) vs Selwyn House School (5) East U17 Prep听听

An explosion of early offence from Selwyn House School put听any and all听hope CIH Academy had to bed听in no uncertain terms, especially with Selwyn鈥檚 start to the second period. SHS led by two through听twenty-minutes听of play, but early in the second, a 22-second span put the game to bed. On the same penalty kill, Josh Chatzis (1G, 1A) scored eight seconds into the second period to make it 3-0, and 22 seconds later, Chatzis popped up again. This time, he provided the primary assist for Salikh听Salakhutdinov听(1G, 1A) to add another shorthanded, giving Selwyn a 4-0 lead just 30 seconds into the second. Francis Paradis made 22 saves on 22 shots for a shutout win in a game Selwyn eventually won 5-0.听

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4) vs North Shore Warriors (1) U17听听

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna鈥檚 U17 squad听haven鈥檛听managed to string together back-to-back victories since winning three straight听back听at the end of November, but with that听established, RHAK have managed to avoid losing three听straight听since the end of 2025. A loss at the hands of STAR Hockey Academy on February 8 meant RHAK was heading into their U17 clash with North Shore off a loss, a position RHAK often excels in. In search of a听bounceback, RHAK dominated North Shore on Friday,听establishing听total control of the game by outshooting the Warriors 20-6 in the first period, and grabbing a goal from Oliver Peck (1G, 1A) to show for it through twenty minutes. RHAK followed up their dominant first twenty minutes with three more goals to听open up听a 4-0 lead before the third period was half over. North Shore grabbed one back at the end but Beau Keller-Blaschuk鈥檚听29 saves on 30 shots was enough to earn RHAK the win.听

South Alberta Hockey Academy (6) vs Shawnigan Lake School (1) U15 Prep听听

South Alberta Hockey Academy victory in the U15 Prep division was assured from the beginning of their Friday meeting with Shawnigan Lake School. 鈥淭he beginning鈥� always sounds like an exaggeration; you听can鈥檛听have an assured outcome from the drop of the puck. SAHA taking control of proceedings happened听pretty much as听close to the beginning as it听possibly could听have. 14 seconds into the game, Cooper听Danroth听(1G, 1A) scored to give SAHA the early lead, and it听wouldn鈥檛听take much longer for them to grab complete command. Kyan Vansandt (1G, 3A) scored less than five minutes after听Danroth听to propel SAHA two in front.听They鈥檇听get two more in the second and two more in the third to secure a 6-1 win.听听

Okanagan Hockey Academy (5) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (3) U15听听

Okanagan Hockey Academy鈥檚 U15 contingent won three of four games in听the month of February听as they approached Friday鈥檚 clash with RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna. OHA had bested RHA Kelowna in each of their three听previous听head-to-head听meetings,听and they sprinted into the lead, scoring four of the game鈥檚 first five goals. Jonah Gamble made 36 saves on 39 shots for OHA to close things out, aided by three points apiece from Kristian Bowen (1G, 2A) and Bates听Wallgreen听(1G, 2A). Vincent Biro鈥檚 shorthanded goal stood as the game-winner.听

Edge School听(7)听vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy听(2)听U15 Prep听

Edge School broke a four-game skid with a dominant 7-2 win over Pacific Coast Hockey Academy Friday, jumping out early and never looking back as Adam Bibby (2G) opened the scoring at 6:46 and added an insurance marker in the third, while Brody Antignani (2G, 1A) and James Butterwick (2G) each finished with two goals to pace a balanced attack; Luke听Bodtker听(1G, 1A) and Cade听Mazurski听(1A) helped fuel the second period surge that turned a 2-2 game into a 5-2 lead, Edge outshooting PCHA 54-26 and converting sustained pressure into goals at 10:13, 11:05 and 12:37 of the second, with PCHA unable to cash in on five power-play chances as Cohen Spencer (24/26) stopped 24 of 26 to earn the victory.听

Wenatchee stole the drama in a back-and-forth affair, edging Shawnigan 4-3 in a shootout after Keagan Nussbaum鈥檚 (2G) two goals bookended the night, an early opener at 19:36 and a thunderous power-play equalizer at 18:02 of the third, while Peyten Shilton (1G) gave Wenatchee a brief third-period lead with a Michigan style goal and Griffin Voth (2G) answered twice for Shawnigan to force extra time; the Wild survived a 47-29 shot disadvantage behind a heroic Mikai Mast (44/47) who kept them alive through OT, and Shane Roberts delivered the lone shootout finish to seal the win walking out of River Cree with the extra point and their first win of the season.听

Delta Hockey Academy Black听(7/SO)听vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg听(6)听Female U18 Prep听听

RINK Winnipeg edged Delta 7-6 in a shootout Friday in a wild, end-to-end affair that had lead changes, momentum swings and two star playmakers refusing to blink, Rowyn Street (1G, 5A) orchestrated the visitors鈥� comeback with a clinic of zone vision while Attica Sobering (3G) finished with a hat trick that kept RHA Winnipeg alive, but Delta鈥檚 early spark came from Kiernan Ledoux (2G) and a late third-period surge from Georgia O鈥橬eill (1G) and Rowyn Street forced overtime; the teams combined for 75 shots and traded punches all night as Mars McHenry (31/37) and Saysha Brace (32/38) each stop over 30 shots. RINK Winnipeg finally prevailed in the shootout, a fitting result after their 5-4 meeting in October.听

Okanagan Hockey Academy Black听(4)听vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy听(5/OT)听Female U18 Prep听

Okanagan and Pilot Mound served up a thriller that finally tilted in Pilot Mound鈥檚 favour 5-4 in overtime, a result that felt like a release valve for two clubs trudging through long losing stretches. Okanagan opened the scoring three times early Morgan Ghag鈥檚 (1G) quick strike, Ellis Aubie鈥檚 (1G) power-play finish and Piper Shaw鈥檚 (1G) late first-period tally only to see Pilot Mound rally back through Ryley Sanders (1G, 1A), Wytten Constant (1G, 1A) and a second-period equalizer from Lauren Nychyporuk (1G, 1A). Morgan Barenz鈥檚 (1G) third-period reply briefly restored hope for Okanagan before Jorja Atkinson (1G, 2A) and a RHA Kelowna push produced the tying markers that forced extra time, where Rory Perrin (1G) buried the winner 46 seconds in to cap a comeback that avenged earlier October and November meetings between these clubs.听

Coeur d鈥橝lene came out swinging but couldn鈥檛 withstand Calgary International鈥檚 third鈥憄eriod avalanche, falling 6鈥�4 in a game that flipped completely after a dream CDA start. Sal Costa (2G) scored twice in the opening four minutes and Ewen Willers (2G) added another at 5:36 as CDA, losers of six straight coming in, suddenly held a 3鈥�0 lead and had CIHA on the ropes. But Calgary, a team that鈥檚 been rolling for weeks and had just taken points in eight of its last ten, slowly reeled the game back in: Chad Clark (1G, 1A) got them on the board late in the first, Walker Filewich (1G) cut the gap early in the second, and then the third period turned into a full鈥憃n surge. CIHA scored four times in a seven鈥憁inute span with Cruz Nicolay, Calum Giese (1G, 2A), Mason Moran (1G, 1A) and Aidan McIntosh (1G, 1A) all striking as CIHA鈥檚 depth overwhelmed CDA鈥檚 fading legs and penalty trouble. Willers鈥� second of the night at 16:49 gave CDA a late spark, but it wasn鈥檛 enough to derail a CIHA comeback that felt inevitable once momentum flipped. Ben Hakes (17/18) steadied Calgary in relief after a shaky start, while Bennett Byers (32/38) battled through a heavy 38鈥憇hot workload.听

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna听(9)听vs Northern Alberta Xtreme听(5)听U17 Prep听

RINK Kelowna kept its mid鈥慒ebruary heater roaring with a 9鈥�5 win over Northern Alberta, a game that looked less like a matchup between two听top鈥慼alf teams and more like a track meet RHAK had been preparing for all month. Winners of four straight coming in and fresh off a 9鈥�2 win over Wenatchee, RHA Kelowna leaned into its identity early, scoring four times in an eight鈥憁inute burst as Mason Poitras(1G), Kaius Millan (1G, 1A), Nixon Whieldon (1G, 1A), and Kaustav Pradeep (1G, 1A) all found the net before the first intermission. NAX, who had just snapped a small skid with a win over OHA Edmonton, kept punching back through Daniel听Makovetskiy听(1G), Donny Sewall (1G), and later Lincoln Stotz (1G, 1A) and Eli Piquette (1G, 2A), but every time they closed the gap RINK Kelowna answered with another wave Roman Haddad鈥檚 (1G) first of the season, Alexander Sharman鈥檚 (1G, 1A) eighth, and Mason Alexander (1G, 1A) late in the second stretched the lead to 7鈥�4. By the time Cole Hamakawa (1G, 1A) and Zander Zorn (1G) added third鈥憄eriod insurance, RHAK had piled up 55 shots, overwhelmed two NAX goaltenders, and听showcased听the depth听that鈥檚听carried them to a 20-4-0-0 record. Matthew Palmer (27/32) held steady behind the chaos.听

Shawnigan looked poised to grind out a statement win, but RHA Winnipeg clawed back late and stole a 3鈥�2 overtime victory a gut鈥憄unch ending to a game Shawnigan Lak School had controlled for nearly 50 minutes.
