McCarthy spent two seasons in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ with RHA Kelowna, joining the league in 2022/23 where he recorded 22 points in 28 U15 Prep games. At the conclusion of the season the Royals selected the defenseman in the fourth round, 69th overall at the 2023 WHL Draft.

The following U17 Prep season the Chicago, Illinois product had 23 points in 29 games.

McCarthy is committed to NCAA program UMass-Lowell.

The Penticton, BC netminder spent three seasons with the Warriors before finishing his WHL career with the Victoria Royals. Originally selected in the 10th round of the 2015 WHL Draft, Evanoff finished his WHL career with a 49-50-11 record, .902 SV% and 3.26 GAA with 2 shutouts.

Prior to his time in the WHL, Evanoff played in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ with his hometown Okanagan Hockey Academy (OHA). He spent three seasons with OHA including the 2016/17 campaign where he was named ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ U18 Prep Top Goaltender after going 15-3-1 with 2 shutouts, a .918 SV% and 2.44 GAA.

Evanoff has spent the last three seasons playing for the University of Regina, posting a 15-39-4 record with 1 shutout, a .880 SV% and 4.15 GAA in 60 U SPORTS games.

MOOSE JAW, Saskatchewan — Prairie Hockey Academy is pleased to announce the hiring of Adam Evanoff as our new Goaltender Development Coach.

Originally from Manning, Alberta, Adam brings extensive experience as both a player and a mentor. He spent three seasons at Okanagan Hockey Academy, part of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, just like Prairie Hockey Academy. This shared background in education-based hockey will be a tremendous asset in supporting our student-athletes.

Drafted in the 10th round of the 2015 WHL Draft, Adam played four seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Moose Jaw Warriors and Victoria Royals. He then continued his career at the University of Regina, earning a degree in Sport and Recreation Management while competing at the collegiate level.

In addition to his playing career, Adam has worked at our Prairie Hockey Academy Goalie Camp for the past three summers, demonstrating his dedication to developing young goaltenders and his strong connection to our community.

Adam’s passion for the position and his understanding of high-performance, education-focused hockey make him an outstanding addition to our program. We are excited to welcome him to the Prairie Hockey Academy team and look forward to the positive impact he will have on our athletes.

Bowtell has spent the last four seasons in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ with RHA Kelowna. He would join the program for the 2021/22 U15 season, tallying 22 points in 30 games. The following U15 Prep season he posted 6 goals and 21 assists in 28 games leading to the Saskatoon Blades selecting him in the sixth round, 131st overall at the 2023 WHL Draft.

The Yorkton, SK forward returned to RHA Kelowna for the 2023/24 U17 Prep season, recording 37 points in 30 games. Thus season he would tally 41 points in 35 U18 Prep games en route to being named a BC Division Second Team All-Star.

Bowtell would leave a lasting impression in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ as he helped the 11 seed RHA Kelowna team capture a 2025 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ U18 Prep Western Championship. He would lead all skaters with 7 goals and 12 points in 5 games as he was named MVP of the U18 Prep Western Championships.

Han joined St. George’s School for the 2021/22 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ U15 Prep season. The Birmingham, AL forward would finish with 20 goals and 15 assists in 26 games, leading to the Victoria Royals selecting him in the first round, seventh overall at the 2022 WHL US Prospects Draft.

The following U18 Prep season Han tallied 7 goals and 9 assists in 32 games with St. George’s. This past season Han played two games with the Wenatchee Wild, now signing with the team full time.

A defenseman from Shaunavon, SK, Stevenson spent the 2019/20 U15 Prep season in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ with the Notre Dame Hounds. He would record 6 goals and 15 assists in 30 games leading to the Swift Current Broncos selecting him in the fourth round of the 2020 WHL Draft.

A University of Nebraska-Omaha NCAA commit, Stevenson has signed with the Penticton Vees after spending the last two seasons with them.

A defensemen from St. Albert, AB, Greschuk spent the 2023/24 U15 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ season with the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX). In 21 games he tallied 3 goals and 11 assists for 14 points. He would add four point in five playoff games as NAX captured their second straight ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ U15 Western Championship.

The Royals selected Greschuk in the first round, 19th overall at the 2025 WHL Draft.

McKamey joined Shawnigan Lake School as a double-underage player for the 2021/22 U15 Prep season. That year he would record 33 points in 28 games. The following U15 Prep season he would lead his team and finish eighth in the division with 58 points in 24 games.

The Cowichan Valley, BC forward would graduate to the U18 Prep division as an underage player the following season. Despite being the second youngest player in the division (behind Landon DuPont/Edge School), McKamey would finish third on his team with 48 points, including tying for the team lead with 23 goals in 28 games.

At the conclusion of the season, the Royals would select McKamey in the second round, 35th overall at the 2024 WHL Draft.

Selected in the ninth round, 179th overall by the Victoria Royals at the 2023 WHL Draft, Lajoie joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme for the 2023/24 U17 Prep season. In 30 games the St. Albert, AB forward posted a team high 30 assists and 46 points. This season he would play 40 AJHL games with the Bonnyville Pontiacs, tallying 5 goals and 18 assists for 23 points.

Lajoie has signed in the WHL with the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Macbeath joined the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ in 2021/22 and played two seasons with the Yale Hockey Academy U15 Prep team. In 57 games the defensemen would tally 11 goals and 55 assists, finishing fourth among defensemen in 2022/23 with 43 points. At the conclusion of the season the Kelowna Rockets would select Macbeath in the seventh round, 136th overall at the 2023 WHL Draft.

Macbeath would return home to Calgary, AB in 2023/24 and play for the Edge School U18 Prep team. In the regular season he would record 6 goals and 23 assists in 26 games. He would add six points in five playoff games as Edge captured their second straight ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ U18 Prep Western Championship.

Although originally drafted by the Rockets, Macbeath has signed with his hometown Calgary Hitmen.

The Kamloops, BC netminder joined Delta for the 2019/20 U15 Prep season. He would play 16 games that season with Delta White before spending the following ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ season with the Delta U17 Prep team. That year he would post a .952 SV%, and 1.59 GAA in three games.

Hicks, who was undrafted to the WHL, is committed to NCAA Division I program Tennessee State University.

The Fort Saskatchewan, AB product played eight games in December with the Royals, recording 3 goals and 4 assists. On the season he leads all rookie defensemen with 12 goals, while his 26 points rank second among rookie defensemen and fourth among all rookie skaters.

Verhoeff joined the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ for the 2022/23 U15 Prep season with RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna. In 27 games he would record 13 goals and 33 assists leading to the Royals selecting him fourth overall at the 2023 WHL Draft. The following U18 Prep season with RHA Kelowna he would record 7 goals and 20 assists in 22 games.

This season he would also play five games for Team Canada White at the U17 World Hockey Challenge, scoring once and adding four assists while being named to the tournament All-Star Team as he helped Canada White capture a Gold Medal.

The tournament, which is set to take place November 3-9 at Progressive Auto Sales Arena in Sarnia, ON, will see 44 players represent Team Canada White and Team Canada Red.

Among the 44 players selected are 15 from the WHL, 12 of which played in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ including 2023 and 2024 WHL Draft first overall picks Daxon Rudolph and Landon DuPont. After joining fellow ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumnus Connor Bedard as the only two players in WHL History to receive Exceptional Status, DuPont is the lone 2009 born player on the Team Canada rosters.

The 12 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumni represent six different ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ member programs: Okanagan Hockey Academy (3), RHA Kelowna (3), Edge School (2), Northern Alberta Xtreme (2), Delta Hockey Academy, and Pilot Mound Hockey Academy.

This will be the second time Lin, Preston, L. Ruck, M. Ruck, Rudolph, and Verhoeff represent Team Canada, having previously done so at the 2024 Youth Olympics.

The 2024 U17 World Challenge kicks off on November 3, with Canada White taking on Czechia at 3:30 p.m. ET and Canada Red facing off against Finland at 7:30 p.m. ET. Teams will play two preliminary-round games before the medal round, which concludes on Nov. 9 with the medal games, as well as the fifth-place game. The event will also feature pre-tournament games in Sarnia, Petrolia and Forest on November 1.

The 2023 U17 World Challenge saw 13 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumni compete for Team Canada Red and White. 

Gibson spent the 2017/18 U15 Prep season with Pacific Coast Hockey Academy. In 30 games the Victoria, BC defenseman had 24 points leading to the Everett Silvertips selecting him in the third round, 64th overall at the 2018 WHL Draft.

In 2019/20 Gibson would play 28 U18 Prep games with BWC Academy, finishing with 18 points. He would also make his WHL debut with the Everett Silvertips, playing in two games that season.

Gibson would go on to play 187 games over 4 seasons with the Silvertips before finishing his WHL game with the Regina Pats, playing 28 games for them this season. Overall, he recorded 10 goals and 61 assists in 215 WHL games.
