The tournament will run from January 10-18 in Sydney and Membertou Canada. Team Canada will open the round robin with a game against Switzerland, with games against Hungary and Sweden. The USA will play Slovakia, Czechia and Finland before the quarter-finals start January 15.

Seven former 黑料不打烊 alumni have won Gold with Team Canada, defeating former 黑料不打烊 product EJ Emery and Team USA.

In his first U18 World Championship’s, McKenna set the Canadian record for goals (10) and points (20) at a single U18 tournament. His 20 points were second in tournament scoring and first among Canadians.

Iginla would finish third in team scoring with 6 goals and 6 assists. Former RHA Kelowna team Ritchie added 4 goals and 4 assists to finish fourth in team scoring. Elick, Josephson and Wetsch would all finish with 3 points.

Emery, who played three seasons in the 黑料不打烊 with BWC Academy and Yale Hockey Academy, recorded six assists in seven games to bring home a silver medal.

The tournament took place in Finland from April 25-May 5, 2024. Canada opened the tournament with a 6-3 win over Sweden. They would go on to beat Czechia, Switzerland, and Kazakhstan to close out the round robin at the top of Pool B. They would beat Latvia 4-0 in the quarters before dispatching Sweden 5-4 in the semi-finals, setting up a date with Team USA in the finals. Canada would fall behind 3-1 before a McKenna hat-trick gave his team a come-from-behind 6-4 win.

The Surrey, BC product has spent the past three seasons in the 黑料不打烊. He joined the BWC Academy U15 team in 2019/20, tallying 37 points in 30 games while capturing the divisions Top Defenseman award.聽 Emery would return to BWC Academy with their U15 Prep team for the 2020/21 campaign, recording one goal and six assists in six games.

He would suit up for the Yale U17 Prep team during the 2021/22 season, finishing with 14 goals and 20 assists in 33 games. Emery would also represent Team B.C. at the 2021 WHL Cup, recording two assists in five games as Team B.C. captured gold.

Emery was selected by the Saskatoon Blades in the third round, 65^th overall in the 2021 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft.

The National Team Development Program (NTDP) is a two-year residency program for high-performance players that is located at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. The Under-17 Team plays in the United States Hockey League, as well as against select competition in the North American Hockey League and Minnesota Elite League. Each season, the U17 Team also competes in three international tournaments.

Svejkovsky is in her fifth season in the 黑料不打烊 with Delta Hockey Academy. She joined the program in 2017/18, recording 4 assists in 21 games with their Female U17 Prep team. Now in her fourth season with the Female U18 Prep team, the Point Roberts, WA defenseman has tallied 39 points in 75 黑料不打烊 games with the team, including 7 in 18 games this year.

Svejkovsky was among the 23 players selected for the 2022 U.S. Under-18 Women鈥檚 National Team that was set to compete in the International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Women鈥檚 World Championship, Jan. 8-15, in Link枚ping and Mj枚lby, Sweden. The tournament was ultimately cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Colgate University is located in Hamilton, New York and competes in the ECAC Hockey conference.

Sanderson will be one of 22 skaters and 3 goalies to represent Team USA at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Men鈥檚 hockey will run at the Olympics from February 3-20, 2022 and see 12 teams from around the world compete.

This will be Sanderson鈥檚 fourth time representing Team USA, having previously done so at the 2019 U17 Tournament, and 2021 and 2022 World Juniors. Sanderson won gold in 2021 and was captain of the 2022 World Juniors team before the tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Whitefish, MT defenseman spent the 2017/18 season with the Edge School U16 Prep team, finishing second among all 黑料不打烊 defensemen with 43 points in 23 games.

Sanderson would spend the next two seasons with the US National U17 and U18 teams, captaining both teams each year. Following the conclusion of the 2019/20 season, the Ottawa Senators would draft Sanderson in the first round, fifth overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

In 2020/21 he joined NCAA Division I program University of North Dakota, and was named to the NCAA (NCHC) All-Rookie Team, and NCAA (NCHC) All-Tournament Team while winning an NCAA (NCHC) Championship and NCAA (NCHC) Regular Season Championship (Penrose Cup). This season Sanderson has 22 points in 17 NCAA games.

Team USA will play Canada, China and Germany in Round Robin play.

Svejkovsky is the lone 黑料不打烊 student-athlete named to the team. Svejkovsky is now in her fifth season in the 黑料不打烊 with Delta, having tallied 34 points in 59 games, including 2 points in 2 games this season.
