Reigning out of Maple Ridge, BC and playing in his second season with Yale Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep squadron, Bradbeer has been a commanding presence with on the blueline in the offensive zone. In the 2024/25 season, Bradbeer showcased his ability to be a gamechanger, posting 15 points across 36 games as a 2011-born defender. This past year in his draft eligible season, Bradbeer stepped up and posted one of the best offensive seasons from a U15 Prep blueliner. Bradbeer would record 61 points in 29 games played placing him in the top-5 for most points recorded in a single season by a U15 Prep defenseman. Those 61 points trailed only Vancouver Giants’ prospect Eli Vickers (62) during the 2025/26 season. After his groundbreaking season, Bradbeer would be selected 22nd overall by the Swift Current Broncos at the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft. Bradbeer would be named a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (BC/US Division) Second Team All-Star.

Entering his second season with Pilot Mound Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep team, Manitou MB’s Vodden was the Buffaloes’ most reliable source of offense during the 2025/26 season. The veteran forward led Pilot Mound Hockey Academy in scoring with 44 points in 30 games played. In the 黑料不打烊 Western Championship U15 Prep Division II Championships, Vodden would decimate the competition, acquiring 13 points across 5 games. The Buffaloes would fall just shy in the finals to RHA Kelowna, but Vodden’s impact impressed WHL scouts. Following an impressive season, Vodden would be named a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (Prairie Division) Second Team All-Star, and later be selected by the Edmonton Oil Kings with the 51st pick in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft. Vodden follows in the footsteps of fellow Pilot Mound student-athlete, Cole Landreville, as the second straight Pilot Mound student-athlete to be selected by the Oil Kings.

An RHA Winnipeg student-athlete during the 2022/23 season, Lorette, MB’s Laliberte has signed his WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Portland Winterhawks. After a strong 30 point campaign with RHA Winnipeg, Laliberte would make the jump to Junior A with the MJHL’s Niverville Nighthawks where he would post 59 points across two seasons. Laliberte would also acquire a bronze medal with Canada West’s U19 team at the 2024/25 World Junior A Challenge.

It’s the Warriors first 黑料不打烊 Championship since their rebrand, having previously won back-to-back U15 Western Championships in 2019 & 2020 under the West Van Academy brand.

RHA Winnipeg beat North Shore 4-3 in the round robin but both teams advanced directly to the finals, having finished first and second.

It was a quiet first period as Elias Mitrikas (36/37) and Chase Charriere (46/49) stopped 13 and 19 shots respectively.

North Shore would strike first in this one as Chase Heide took a puck hard to the net and Sidney Bellfoy buried a rebound into the empty cage. It would remain a 1-0 lead until defenseman Sean Murphy came down on the rush and fired one high off Charrier’s shoulder, with the puck tricking up and over and into the back of the net to give North Shore a 2-0 lead.

Bellfoy would add an insurance marker five minutes later as his cross ice pass hit a number of bodies before finding the back of the net.

A late North Shore penalty would give RHA Winnipeg a 6-on-4 advantage as they tried to at least get on the scoreboard. That they would do as defenseman Christian Pitz ended the Mitrikas shutout bid with just 11 seconds left.

North Shore would hold for the final 11 seconds, crowning them U18 Prep Division II Western Champions.

Eastern U17 Prep: Mario Lapenna, Lower Canada College

It was a dominant month for the 2009 born Montreal, QC forward as he recorded a division best 16 goals, 16 assists and 32 points in just 9 games. Lapenna leads the East U17 Prep division with 29 goals and 60 points and is tied for the lead with 31 assists in 19 games. Now in his second 黑料不打烊 season, Lapenna had 42 points last year and recently became the first player in East U17 Prep history to hit 100 career points.聽

Eastern U18 Prep: Luca Stasi, Bishop’s College School

For the second time this season, Stasi has been named the 黑料不打烊 East U18 Prep Player of the Month Award Winner, having previously done so in November. A Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 2024 QMJHL Draft pick, the Kirkland, QC forward led all skaters with 13 goals and 20 points in 7 games in January. In 20 games this season he leads all skaters with 26 goals, 20 assists and 46 points, 14 more than anyone else.聽

Female U18 Prep: Mya Young, Delta Hockey Academy Green

Young played two games in January, recording shutouts in both to give her a 2-0-0 record with a 0.00GAA and 1.000SV%. A 2010 born netminder who spent the last two seasons playing on the men’s side with BWC Academy, Young leads the division with a 1.17GAA, while her 10 wins, .953SV% and 4 shutouts all sit second.

U15: Jackson Sponchia, BWC Academy

The Maple Ridge, BC defenseman led all skaters with 16 assists in 5 games, including a 7 assist game against STAR Hockey Academy on January 11. Sponchia tied for the lead among dmen with 16 points, tied for fourth among all skaters. On the season Sponchia has 3 goals and 25 assists in 28 games.

U15 Prep: Ronan Gow, Delta Hockey Academy

The Nanaimo, BC forward led all U15 Prep skaters with 10 goals in 6 games in January. His 14 points were third most among all skaters, giving him 43 on the season. Gow sits top 10 in goals (23) and points (43) this season, and has recorded 57 points in 53 U15 Prep games after tallying 14 in 29 last year.

U17: Nathan Marques, Okanagan Hockey Academy

Marques continues to run away with the division scoring lead as he posted a January best 21 points and 11 goals in 10 games played. Now in his third year in the CSSSHL with OHA, the Penticton, BC forward has a division best 38 goals and 66 points this season.

U17 Prep: Colton Ross, RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg

The U17 Prep division scoring leader increased his totals in January with a division best 22 points and 12 goals in 6 games. On the season the Winnipeg, MB forward leads the division with 25 goals and 43 points in 20 games.

U18 Prep: Vlad Ibragimov, North Shore Warriors

A 2025 WHL Draft pick by the Medicine Hat Tigers, Ibragimov led the division with 15 points and 11 goals in 8 games played. This season he leads his team with 19 goals and 34 points, sitting third in the division in goals and ninth in points. Having recorded 40 points in 36 games last season the Calgary, AB forward has 74 points in 61 career U18 Prep games.

RHA Winnipeg (Winnipeg, MB) would defeat RHA Kelowna (Kelowna, BC) 5-2 on Friday to capture the programs third ever 黑料不打烊 Western Championship. Their last one came back in 2023 at the U16 Prep level.

Coming into the Championships as the three seed, RHA Winnipeg went 0-2 in the Round Robin, putting them in the five slot. They would beat St. George’s School (Vancouver, BC) in the quarter-finals before overcoming a two goal deficit to beat STAR Hockey Academy (Kent, WA) in overtime of the semi’s.

RHA Kelowna came into the Championships as the fifth seed, going 2-0 in the Round Robin and finishing third in the pool. They would beat Prairie Hockey Academy (Caronport, SK) in the quarters before hammering Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (Victoria, BC) in the semi-final.

On Friday the finals started off with some tight checking by both teams before Ryder Olford and Zachary Haney scored 13 seconds apart to put RHA Winnipeg ahead midway through the opening frame.

Kelson Hawreluik scored on the power play 46 seconds into the second to extend his teams advantage. Dexter Labrecque would get RHA Kelowna on the board midway through the game with his fourth of the Championships.

Harrison Sharman brought RHA Kelowna within one 7:18 into the third but that was as close as they would get as Haize Brightnose (47/49) finished with 47 saves to secure the win for RHA Winnipeg.

Aiden Christie and Jack Arseniuk added third period power play goals to increase the advantage to three, making it a final score of 5-2.

Jones would play his minor hockey in the Winnipeg, MB area, posting 22 points in 33 games with the Winnipeg Wild during the 2022/23 season. In 2023/24, he would join RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg of the 黑料不打烊.

On the outside, things seemed to be trending in the right direction for Jones. In his first season in the 黑料不打烊 he recorded 31 points in 27 U15 Prep games as RHA Winnipeg made the semi-finals of the 2024 黑料不打烊 Western Championships. Jones looked like a player with the potential of achieving his goals of playing junior hockey, before graduating to a college or university team.

What those watching didn鈥檛 know, nor did Jones initially, was the RHA Winnipeg forward was struggling with Keratoconus, an eye disease that affects the structure of the cornea, resulting in loss of vision. Keratoconus occurs in approximately one in 2,000 individuals, typically beginning in puberty and progressing into the mid-30s.

鈥淎round nine months to a year ago I started to notice I was seeing halos, blurriness and some light sensitivity,鈥� said Jones. 鈥淚 noticed when I was at the cabin one day someone pointed something out and I couldn鈥檛 actually see it. I thought it was nothing, and that maybe I just needed glasses or contacts.鈥�

His eye disease would begin to impact his play on the ice, noting the light caused a fog like effect. The puck would appear to be in roughly two inches of fog, with the greatest impact anytime he was near the boards.

鈥淚t was very scary at first. You鈥檙e very vulnerable and you start to appreciate your vision and thing鈥檚 you didn鈥檛 before,鈥� said Jones.

Despite the diagnosis, Jones would finish the season and begin another with RHA Winnipeg, this time in the 黑料不打烊 U17 Prep division.

鈥淚t鈥檚 admirable to see how he has carried himself around his teammates on a day-to-day basis since being diagnosed. He is still the Jonesy we all know, having fun, being positive and bringing consistent energy, push himself and his teammates to get better each day,鈥� said RHA Winnipeg U17 Prep head coach Ian Duval. 鈥淗is actions during this difficult period speak volumes to his character and who Wyatt is as a person. From an outside perspective, you wouldn鈥檛 know the adversity he has faced the past seasons.鈥�

Near the end of October 2024 Jones would undergo surgery to stop the eye disease from progressing. Once his eyes heal, Jones will get glasses in January, and contacts in March, which should give him 20/20 vision.

After the surgery it took about a week and a half for Jones to get back on the ice with his teammates, who wanted him out there with them, but understood the importance of putting his health first.

There has been an adjustment period for Jones since the surgery. Jones has had to put eye drops in every few hours to keep his eyes hydrated, he can鈥檛 get water in his eyes when showering, and even had to switch from a cage to a full-face shield to ensure no snow or ice got into his eyes.

鈥淛onesy is hardworking, mature, funny, outgoing and just an all-around good person to be around,鈥� added Duval, who was also an assistant with the U15 Prep team last season. 鈥淗e loves being with his teammates and coaches at the rink and shows up every day with a positive attitude. As a coach, I am grateful to have the opportunity to get to know Wyatt and help with his development on and off the ice the past two seasons.鈥�

When asked what the future might hold, Jones, with his upbeat demeanor, will continue on his and his RHA Winnipeg teammates quest to capture a 2025 黑料不打烊 Western Championship.

鈥淲hen it first happened, I kept thinking how is this happening to me,鈥� said Jones. 鈥淏ut I look back at it and it could always be worse. There are worse injuries out there and it鈥檚 just a bump in the road I鈥檒l get over.鈥�

U15: Lucca Tassone, Yale Hockey Academy

The Abbotsford, BC netminder went 3-0-0 with 1 shutout, a 0.67GAA and .971SV% in three games during October. On the season he is 6-0-0 while leading the division with a 0.90GAA, .962SV% and 2 shutouts.

U15 Prep: Teagen Bouchard, Northern Alberta Xtreme

In 8 games the Fahler, AB forward scored 8 goals and added 12 assists for an October best 20 points. In 15 games this season Bouchard leads the U15 Prep division with 34 points, posting 14 goals and 20 assists.

U17: Maximilian Koppel, RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna

For the second straight month an RHA Kelowna forward has been named the POTM. In 11 games Koppel posted a division best 10 goals and 20 points, bringing the Regensburg, Germany forward’s season totals to 18 goals, 20 assists and a division best 38 points in 21 games.

U17 Prep: Les Toth, St. George’s School

In five games in October the White Rock, BC netminder went 5-0-0 with 2 shutouts, a 0.98GAA and .967SV% through 305 minutes of action. On the season Toth holds a 7-3-1 record with a 2.26GAA, .942SV% and 2 shutouts.

U18 Prep: Austin Polonoski, Pilot Mound Hockey Academy

In his second season with Pilot Mound, Polonoski recorded a division best 17 assists and 20 points in just 7 games in October. On the season the Thunder Bay, ON forward has 5 goals with division bests in assists (19) and points (24) in 10 games this season.

Female U18 Prep: Rowyn Street, RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg

The Winnipeg, MB forward tied for the division lead with 15 points in 7 games in October, scoring 7 goals and 8 assists. In her second season in the 黑料不打烊 with RHA Winnipeg, Street has 9 goals and 10 assists, placing her fifth in league scoring with 19 points.

Eastern U17: Antonio Lombardo, Lower Canada College

A defenseman from Montreal, QC, Lombardo led all defensemen with eight assists and nine points in four games in October. All four of his games this season took place in October, leading to him sitting first among defensemen in assists (8) and second in points (9).

Eastern U18: Ezekiel Lambert, Ulysse Academie聽

Lambert finished second among all skaters in October with 10 points in 6 games while his 8 assists were tops in the division. The Saint-Gilles, QC product is currently tied among all defensemen for the division lead with 3 goals, 8 assists and 11 points in 8 games this season.

U15: Jayden Ni, Delta Hockey Academy White

The Sherwood Park, AB defenseman leads all skaters with 8 assists and 11 points through 4 games this season. His 3 goals are a division best among defensemen.

U17: Kesler Hamilton, RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna

During the month of September Hamilton led all skaters with 11 assists and 19 points in 8 games. The Kelowna, BC forward has chipped in 8 goals in his 8 games, while recording at least a point in every game this season.

U17 Prep: Jaggar John, OHA Edmonton

Schofield was undrafted to the WHL but was selected first overall by the Winkler Flyers at the 2024 Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) Draft.

Eric Alarie: The Winnipeg, MB forward joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2017/18 U15 Prep season tallying a team high 55 points in 30 games, leading to the Moose Jaw Warriors selecting him in the first round, 22nd overall at the 2018 WHL Draft. The following U18 Prep season Alarie would finish second in team scoring with 46 points.聽Alarie spent five season in the WHL with the Warriors before joining the Seattle Thunderbirds early this season. In 280 WHL games he tallied 79 goals and 108 assists. Alarie previously signed an ECHL contract with the Adirondack Thunder, playing 8 games with 3 points.

Katie Anhalt: A forward from Winnipeg, MB, Anhalt played the last three Female U18 Prep season’s with RHA Winnipeg. In 74 games she had 19 goals and 29 assists, including a career high 9 goals, 17 assists and 26 points in 25 games this season.

Tori Bear: Bear joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2022/23 Female U18 Prep season, tallying 1 goal and 9 assists in 30 games. This past season the Ochapowace, SK forward had a career high 2 goals, 16 assists and 18 points in 30 games.

Promise Belanger: A forward from Yorkton, SK, Belanger had 6 goals and 14 assists in 29 games during the 2023/24 Female U18 Prep season.

Lucas Bertolin: Bertolin joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2023/24 U18 Prep season which saw the Thunder Bay, ON forward finish third in team scoring with 33 points in 30 games.

Aidan Brook: A 2018 fourth round WHL Draft pick by the Seattle Thunderbirds, Brook joined RHA Winnipeg in 2018/19 posting 26 points in 36 games. The following season the Roblin, MB defender had 23 points in 35 U18 Prep games. He would split the next two seasons in the WHL and MJHL before joining the Dauphin Kings full time in 2022/23. He would finish his MJHL career in 2023/24 with the Kings and Portage Terriers, recording 56 points in 129 career games.

Skyler Bruce: Selected in the second round, 29th overall by the Kootenay Ice (now the Wenatchee Wild) at the 2018 WHL Draft, Bruce joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2017/18 U15 Prep season, finishing second in team scoring with 40 points in 30 games. The following U16 Prep season the Winnipeg, MB forward led all skaters with 37 assists and 64 points in 34 games.聽He would join the Winnipeg Ice full time in 2020/21, spending parts of 6 seasons in the WHL with the Ice, Vancouver Giants, and Edmonton Oil Kings, recording 49 goals and 84 assists in 209 games.

Ayden Collins: A defenseman from Winnipeg, MB, Collins recorded 23 points in 30 U15 Prep games in 2021/22 leading to the Winnipeg Ice selecting him in the eighth round of the 2022 WHL Draft. The following U16 Prep season he would record 12 points in 23 games, before finishing this past U18 Prep season with 14 assists in 25 games.

Aislin Carrick: Carrick spent the 2023/24 Female U18 Prep season with RHA Winnipeg. In 30 games the Red Deer, AB defender had 1 goal and 8 assists.

Trentyn Crane: After being selected in the fifth round, 103rd overall by the Victoria Royals at the 2018 WHL Draft, Crane joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2018/19 U16 Prep season recording 46 points in 36 games. Crane would go on to play 25 WHL, 44 MJHL and 114 MHL games accumulating 209 points.

Addison Dyck: Dyck joined RHA Winnipeg for two seasons, beginning in 2022/23. In 56 career games the Winnipeg, MB defender had 3 goals and 13 assists.

Tayem Gislason: During the 2017/18 U15 Prep season the Winnipeg, MB defender recorded 9 points in 30 games leading to the Prince Albert Raiders selecting him in the sixth round, 119th overall at the 2018 WHL Draft. The following U16 Prep season he would tally 25 points in 36 games, before finishing his 黑料不打烊 career in 2019/20 with 22 points in 35 U18 Prep games. He would spend the majority of the next four seasons in the WHL with the Raiders before playing 8 games with the Red Deer Rebels. Gislason spent the entirety of the 2023/24 MJHL season with the Portage Terriers earning First All-Star Team honours after recording 37 points in 54 games.

Remy Hlady: An eighth round pick by the Everett Silvertips at the 2022 WHL Draft, Hlady was named 2022/23 黑料不打烊 U16 Prep MVP after finishing second in league scoring with 56 points in 35 games, and leading his team to a 2023 黑料不打烊 U16 Prep Western Championship. This past season the Tyndall, MB forward had 31 points in 28 U18 Prep games.

Luke Janus: Janus recorded 32 points and played 37 games over two seasons with the RHA Winnipeg U18 Prep team. The Winnipeg, MB forward joined the Winnipeg Blues in 2022/23 finishing with 52 points in 58 MJHL games.

Malachi Klassen: A netminder from Winkler, MB, Klassen went 12-5-0 with a 2.81GAA, .901SV% and 4 shutouts during the 2018/19 U16 Prep season. The following two U18 Prep seasons he would go 17-7-0 with 2 shutouts, a .895SV% and 2.75GAA. Klassen spent the last three seasons in the MJHL with the Winkler Flyers accumulating a 57-25-3 record, 8 shutouts, 2.39GAA and .917SV%. This season he was named MJHL Playoff MVP after posting a 12-3-0 record and leading Winkler to an MJHL Championship.

Cooper Labelle: The聽 Sioux Lookout, ON forward tallied 8 goals and 13 assists in 30 games during the 2023/24 U18 Prep season.

Carson Legault: Legault joined RHA Winnipeg in 2022/23 recording 27 points in 28 games as RHA Winnipeg were named 2023 黑料不打烊 U16 Prep Western Champions. This past season the Elie, MB forward had 17 points in 30 U18 Prep games.

Justin Lies: Selected in the third round, 56th overall by the Vancouver Giants at the 2018 WHL Draft, the Flin Flon, MB forward recorded 13 goals and 16 assists in 34 games during the 2018/19 U16 Prep season. He would spend the next three seasons with the Giants before joining the Saskatoon Blades, finishing a WHL career that saw him tally 53 points in 176 games. This season Lies led his team and finished fourth in SJHL scoring with 76 points in 55 games.

Kate Nechwediuk: A forward from Winnipeg, MB, Nechwediuk played 72 career games over three seasons with the RHA Winnipeg Female U18 Prep team. In 72 games she had 30 goals and 36 assists.

Rhett McAuley: McAuley joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2022/23 U16 Prep season posting 12 points in 32 games as RHA Winnipeg were named 黑料不打烊 U16 Prep Western Champions. This past season the Brandon, MB defenseman had 10 points in 30 U18 Prep games, while affiliating in 4 games with Selkirk.

Leo Seitz: The Saskatoon, SK forward joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2023/24 U18 Prep season. A fourth round pick by the Tri-City Americans at the 2022 WHL Draft, Seitz had 24 points in 24 games this season.

Quinn Parker: Selected in the fifth round, 100th overall by the Brandon Wheat Kings at the 2022 WHL Draft, the Winnipeg, MB forward joined RHA Winnipeg for the start of the 2023/24 U18 Prep season. In four games he recorded one goal.

Wyatt Stinton: Stinton would finish third team scoring with 47 points in 30 games during the 2021/22 U15 Prep season. The Regina Pats would then select the Flin Flon, MB forward in the fifth round of the 2022 WHL Draft. The following U16 Prep season he would tally 36 points in 23 games as RHA Winnipeg captured a 2023 黑料不打烊 U16 Prep Western Championship. This past U18 Prep season Stinton led his team with 26 goals and 40 points in 30 games.

Jules Stokes: Stokes joined RHA Winnipeg in 2021/22, spending three seasons with their Female U18 Prep team. In 80 黑料不打烊 games the Terrace, BC defender had 6 goals and 22 assists.

Kayden Turner: A forward from Winnipeg, MB, Turner finished the 2021/22 U15 Prep season with 23 points in 30 games. The following U16 Prep campaign he finished third in team scoring with 52 points, including a team high 30 assists, as RHA Winnipeg captured a 2023 黑料不打烊 U16 Prep Western Championship. This season Turner scored 4 times and assisted on 13 more goals in 27 U18 Prep games.

Owen Weihs: Selected in the fifth round, 95th overall by the Brandon Wheat Kings at the 2018 WHL Draft, the Winnipeg, MB forward joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2017/18 season, recording 39 points in 30 games. The following U16 Prep season he had 21 goals and 21 assists in 36 games. Weihs produced 41 points in 36 games during the 2019/20 U18 Prep campaign, his last season in the 黑料不打烊. Weihs spent the last four seasons in the MJHL with the Steinbach Pistons and Selkirk Steelers, finishing with 53 points in 139 games.

Matt Wisener: Wisener joined RHA Winnipeg in 2017/18 where he had 23 points in 30 U15 Prep games. The following U16 Prep season the Winnipeg, MB forward had 20 points in 30 games. Wisener spent the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons in the MJHL with the Portage Terriers, finishing with 77 points in 95 games.

Garett Zasitko: The Winnipeg, MB forward produced 23 points in 30 U15 Prep games during the 2017/18 season. He would add 15 in 36 U16 Prep games the following campaign before ending his 黑料不打烊 career with 21 points in 25 U18 Prep games in 2019/20. Over the next four seasons Zasitko would play a combine 150 MJHL and SJHL games, scoring 30 goals and adding 64 assists.

The Winnipeg, MB forward joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2017/18 U15 Prep season tallying 20 points in 30 games. The Portland Winterhawks would then select Litke in the sixth round, 129th overall at the 2018 WHL Draft.

The following U16 Prep season he would finish fourth in team scoring with 43 points in 36 games. Litke would spend the 2019/20 season with the RHA Winnipeg U18 Prep team, recording 31 points in 21 games.

During the 2020/21 COVID-19 season he would tally 8 points in 5 MJHL games with the OCN Blizzard, while adding 1 point in 10 WHL games with the Winterhawks.

He joined Portland full time the following season, finishing with 30 points in 63 games. He would set a career high the following year with 23 assists and 36 points in 50 games. In 2023/24 Litke played 9 WHL games with the Edmonton Oil Kings, scoring 4 times and assisting on 7 more goals.
