Reigning out of Maple Ridge, BC and playing in his second season with Yale Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep squadron, Bradbeer has been a commanding presence with on the blueline in the offensive zone. In the 2024/25 season, Bradbeer showcased his ability to be a gamechanger, posting 15 points across 36 games as a 2011-born defender. This past year in his draft eligible season, Bradbeer stepped up and posted one of the best offensive seasons from a U15 Prep blueliner. Bradbeer would record 61 points in 29 games played placing him in the top-5 for most points recorded in a single season by a U15 Prep defenseman. Those 61 points trailed only Vancouver Giants’ prospect Eli Vickers (62) during the 2025/26 season. After his groundbreaking season, Bradbeer would be selected 22nd overall by the Swift Current Broncos at the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft. Bradbeer would be named a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (BC/US Division) Second Team All-Star.

Entering his second season with Pilot Mound Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep team, Manitou MB’s Vodden was the Buffaloes’ most reliable source of offense during the 2025/26 season. The veteran forward led Pilot Mound Hockey Academy in scoring with 44 points in 30 games played. In the 黑料不打烊 Western Championship U15 Prep Division II Championships, Vodden would decimate the competition, acquiring 13 points across 5 games. The Buffaloes would fall just shy in the finals to RHA Kelowna, but Vodden’s impact impressed WHL scouts. Following an impressive season, Vodden would be named a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (Prairie Division) Second Team All-Star, and later be selected by the Edmonton Oil Kings with the 51st pick in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft. Vodden follows in the footsteps of fellow Pilot Mound student-athlete, Cole Landreville, as the second straight Pilot Mound student-athlete to be selected by the Oil Kings.

An RHA Winnipeg student-athlete during the 2022/23 season, Lorette, MB’s Laliberte has signed his WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Portland Winterhawks. After a strong 30 point campaign with RHA Winnipeg, Laliberte would make the jump to Junior A with the MJHL’s Niverville Nighthawks where he would post 59 points across two seasons. Laliberte would also acquire a bronze medal with Canada West’s U19 team at the 2024/25 World Junior A Challenge.

Calgary International Hockey Academy student-athlete Kai Dingwall has signed with the Regina Pats after they selected him in the second round, 35th overall at the 2026 WHL Draft. This season the Calgary, AB forward was named a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (Prairie Division) Second Team All-Star, having recorded 46 points in 28 U15 Prep games, before adding 7 points in 5 playoff games as he captained CIHA to a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep Western Championship. During the 2024/25 U15 Prep season Dingwall tallied 26 points in 35 games with Pilot Mound Hockey Academy.

A forward from Calgary, AB, Jett Evans has signed with the Seattle Thunderbirds after being drafted in the second round, 34th overall at the 2026 WHL Draft. Evans tallied 48 points in 29 games with the Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 Prep team to earn 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (Prairie Division) First Team All-Star honours. During the 2024/25 season he would finish second among all 黑料不打烊 U15 skaters with 72 points in 31 games.

Selected eighth overall at the 2026 WHL Draft, Micah Montgomery has signed with the Kamloops Blazers. The Edmonton, AB forward joined OHA Edmonton as an underage player for the 2023/24 U15 season, posting 24 points in 22 games. The following U15 Prep season Montgomery totaled 49 points in 36 games as he was named a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (Prairie Division) Second Team All-Star and to the 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (Prairie Division) All Rookie Team. This past season Montgomery would be named a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (Prairie Division) First Team All-Star and the 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep Top Defensive Forward after he tallied 63 points in 30 games.

North Shore Warriors forward William Thompson has signed with the Prince George Cougars after he was taken in the second round, 41st overall at the 2026 WHL Draft. The North Vancouver, BC forward posted 25 points in 22 U15 Prep games in 2024/25 before recording 50 points in 30 games in 2025/26 as he was named a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (BC/US Division) Second Team All-Star.

Former RHA Winnipeg student-athlete Graham Jones has signed with the Penticton Vees, after a recent trade to the team. Jones was originally selected in the first round, 18th overall by the Portland Winterhawks at the 2022 WHL Draft after he recorded 81 points in 30 U15 Prep games.

A defenseman from Edmonton, AB, Reed spent the 2023/24 黑料不打烊 season with the OHA Edmonton U15 Prep team. In 27 games he would post 12 goals and 23 assists, finishing second in team scoring with 35 points. The Winterhawks would select him in the fourth round, 87th overall at the 2024 WHL Draft.

Reed has spent the 2025/26 season in the AJHL with the Bonnyville Pontiacs, recording 4 assists in 16 games.

PORTLAND, Ore. –聽Before Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy director聽Troy Mick聽was part of a Western Hockey League organization in north-central Washington, he was a star for another one five hours away.

How big a star, you ask?

Big enough to be drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins, just as the heyday of Lemieux and Jagr was beginning…and big enough to be considered one of the very best in Winterhawks history.

Mick was recently announced as one of the Winterhawks’ top 50 players in franchise history, in the wake of the club’s 50th Anniversary home opener. The team entered the WHL with the relocation of the original Edmonton Oil Kings franchise, and settled into the Memorial Coliseum in downtown Portland, where they remain today. A decade after the move from Edmonton, the Winterhawks traded for an up-and-coming star from Vernon, British Columbia.

“Portland traded for me when I was with the Merritt Warriors, which is the Merritt Centennials now,” said Mick. “I got called up in February, and there was nothing crazier than playing in front of 10,500 people and the fans lining up five deep in our end zone for warmups. I got to come up for the Memorial Cup in 1986, and the next three-and-a-half years was a blur.”

Even coming from a city that only passed the 20,000 mark in the mid-1980s, Mick immediately felt right at home in the Rose City. He gave that joy right back to Portland, giving them 353 points in just three full seasons before finishing his WHL career with the Regina Pats in 1990 (and adding another 113 points to that total). He continues to hold two of the top 11 scoring seasons in Winterhawks history, and those 353 points still rank sixth on the club’s all-time leaderboard – his 466 WHL points remains the league’s 13th-highest total of all-time, 35 years after he played his last game in the league.

“Back then, the game was different,” said Mick. “We didn’t have many board ads, or really any ice logos. Now, it’s a lot different to where it’s more speed and skill. The style of play is way different – I’ve got a bunch of my VHS tapes, and watching some of those games, it was amazing because we had no buckets in warmups, the Cooperall long pants, and we had referees and linesmen that didn’t wear helmets. The speed and skill are so much better now – the game is different, but it’s just evolved. We had two-line passes back in the day, and I talk to my guys and they look at me like I’m archaic because they have no idea what a two-line pass is.”

Another member of the team’s top 50 is a childhood friend of Mick’s – he and Dallas Stars amateur scout Dennis Holland grew up less than three blocks from each other, began playing on the same line with each other at just 10 years old, and even played other sports alongside each other off the ice. Holland equaled a WHL record on November 23, 1988 with seven goals in a single game…and Mick’s name is right next to his, with an assist on every single goal.

“We’ve been best friends for over 50 years,” said Mick. “We played baseball and lacrosse together, and [now] he and I are in the top 50 for all-time scoring in the Western Hockey League. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the Western Hockey League.”

Though the NHL dream never quite panned out, Mick did enjoy a three-year pro career in the East Coast Hockey League before becoming a general manager and a head coach in both the British Columbia Hockey League and the WHL. He now finds himself in his fourth season as the director of Wenatchee’s academy program, leading four AAA teams – two of those teams play in the 黑料不打烊, widely considered one of the continent’s top school-based circuits.

“My dad put me on skates when I was two years old, and pushed me around. I try to tell my guys in the Academy that they can’t take championship banners away. They can’t take the individual successes away, but the team success has to go first,” said Mick. “It took all the teams and all my teammates that I played with to make it happen, and just to be honored as one of the top 50 with such a proud Portland Winterhawks team, I’m beyond honored. The guys have to realize that before you know it, it’s over, so enjoy your time now.”

A netminder from Dallas, Texas, Blake Clark joined the 黑料不打烊 for the 2023/24 U15 Prep season. In 15 games with Delta Hockey Academy Green he went 11-0-0 with 2 shutouts, a 2.81 GAA and .875 SV% leading to the Portland Winterhawks selecting him in the 11th round of the 2024 WHL Draft. Last season Clark went 7-5-0 with 1 shutout, a 2.81 GAA and .885 SV% with the Delta U17 Prep team.

Selected in the 11th round of the 2022 WHL Draft by the Prince Albert Raiders, Hubert Clarke joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme for the 2023/24 U17 Prep season. The Norway House, MB defenseman would record 39 points in 27 games with NAX that season. Committed to Western Michigan University, Clark has one assist in two games with the Raiders this season.

A forward from Grande Prairie, AB, Logan Miller has signed with the Seattle Thunderbirds after going undrafted at the 2023 WHL Draft. Miller joined OHA Edmonton for the 2024/25 U17 Prep season finishing fourth in team scoring with 50 points in 35 games.

Quinn Pickering will return to the 黑料不打烊 with St. George’s School for the 2025/26 U17 Prep season. The West Vancouver, BC defender joined St. George’s for the 2024/25 U15 Prep season, tallying 38 points in 36 games. The Swift Current Broncos selected Pickering in the fourth round of the 2025 WHL Draft.

Undrafted to the WHL, Dayton Reschny has signed with the Medicine Hat Tigers after spending the 2024/25 season in the AJHL with the Bonnyville Pontiacs. The Macklin, SK forward tallied 21 points in 34 U16 Prep games with Prairie Hockey Academy during the 2021/22 黑料不打烊 season. Reschny had three points in three games with the Tigers this season.

Moss has signed with the Medicinet Hat Tigers after he was originally selected in the 10th round, 217th overall at the 2022 WHL Draft by the Kamloops Blazers.

The Port Moody, BC defenseman joined Yale for the 2020/21 U15 season, tallying one point in four games. The following 黑料不打烊 season he would tally one assist in three U15 Prep games. During the 2022/23 U17 Prep season, Moss would record 5 goals and 18 assists in 34 games.

Plante joined Yale in 2018/19, tallying 12 points in 29 U15 games. The following season the Langley, BC forward recorded 16 points in 30 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep games. He would spend the 2020/21 season with the Yale U17 Prep team, producing seven points in five games.

Undrafted to the WHL, Plante has signed with the Portland Winterhawks. He is committed to NCAA Division I program University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Moss and Plante both made their WHL debut within the last week.

Brebant joined OHA Edmonton for the 2023/24 U15 Prep season. In 27 games the Fort McMurray, AB forward would record 13 goals and 18 assists to finish third in team scoring. Selected in the fifth round, 109th overall by the Winterhawks at the 2024 WHL Draft, Brebant will spend the 2024/25 黑料不打烊 season with the OHA Edmonton U17 Prep team.

Selected in the eighth round, 175th overall by the Portland Winterhawks at the 2024 WHL Draft, Sayers played the 2023/24 U15 AAA season with the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX). In 26 games the Edam, SK defender tallied 6 goals and 26 assists before adding 10 points in 5 playoff games as NAX captured the 2024 黑料不打烊 U15 AAA Western Championships.

Selected in the fourth round, 86th overall by the Winterhawks at the 2024 WHL Draft, Leibel joined Delta Hockey Academy for the 2022/23 U15 AAA season tallying 29 points in 27 games. This past U15 Prep season the Surrey, BC forward had 20 goals and 20 assists in 27 games, finishing fourth on Delta Green with 40 points. Leibel will return to Delta for the 2024/25 U17 Prep season.

A defender from Kamloops, BC Zulinick joined RHA Kelowna in 2021/22. That U15 AAA season he would record 8 points in 29 games. Undrafted to the WHL, Zulinick would tally 1 goal and 7 assists in 20 U15 Prep games during the 2022/23 season.

The Winnipeg, MB forward joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2017/18 U15 Prep season tallying 20 points in 30 games. The Portland Winterhawks would then select Litke in the sixth round, 129th overall at the 2018 WHL Draft.

The following U16 Prep season he would finish fourth in team scoring with 43 points in 36 games. Litke would spend the 2019/20 season with the RHA Winnipeg U18 Prep team, recording 31 points in 21 games.

During the 2020/21 COVID-19 season he would tally 8 points in 5 MJHL games with the OCN Blizzard, while adding 1 point in 10 WHL games with the Winterhawks.

He joined Portland full time the following season, finishing with 30 points in 63 games. He would set a career high the following year with 23 assists and 36 points in 50 games. In 2023/24 Litke played 9 WHL games with the Edmonton Oil Kings, scoring 4 times and assisting on 7 more goals.

A forward from Calgary, AB, Shaun Hildebrandt was selected in the second round, 43rd overall by the Calgary Hitmen. Hildebrandt joined Yale Hockey Academy for the 2022/23 season, finishing third on his team and fourth in the U15 division with 50 points in 27 games. This season his 58 points in 27 games were most among U15 Prep forwards, and second in league scoring, earning him 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (BC Division) Second Team All-Star honours.

Jordin St. Louis joined Edge School this season with their U15 Prep team. In 27 games the Airdrie, AB forward tallied 14 goals and 27 assists leading to the Portland Winterhawks selecting him in the first round, 20th overall.

Selected in the third round, 46th overall by the Kamloops Blazers, Madden Tymchak played the 2023/24 season with the RHA Winnipeg U15 Prep team. In 25 games the Oakbank, MB defenseman recorded 1 goal and 29 assists.

A defenseman from Edmonton, AB, Kayne Wright spent the last two seasons with the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX). During the 2022/23 season he would tally 23 points in 27 games before adding 8 assists in 5 playoff games to lead NAX to a 2023 黑料不打烊 U15 Western Championship. This season he would record 19 points in 26 U15 Prep games and 8 more in his 5 playoff games as he captured his second straight 黑料不打烊 Western Championship with NAX, this time at the U15 Prep level. The Medicine Hat Tigers selected Wright in the eighth round, 171st overall.
