Mack spent the 2025/26 season as the Director of Scouting for the WHL’s Prince George Cougars, having previously been a scout with the Cougars the prior six seasons.

Prior to his time with the Cougars the Calgary, AB product was a scout with the Seattle Thunderbirds for 10 WHL campaigns, including during the 2016/17 season when the Thunderbirds were crowned WHL Champions.

Mack joined the 黑料不打烊 with BWC Academy during the 2013/14 U16 Prep season. He would spend four seasons with the team, winning a 2017 黑料不打烊 U16 Prep Western Championship. In four seasons with the BWC Academy U16 Prep team he would go 78-28-13.

Starting in 2017/18 he would take over the BWC Academy U15 Prep team, compiling a record of 58-31-7 in four seasons.

In 2021/22 he would join the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX), returning to the U16 Prep division. NAX would finish a division best 32-4-0 before beating second place Edge School in the finals to capture the 2022 黑料不打烊 U16 Prep Western Championship.

Mack would then join Edge School for the following two U15 seasons, going 39-14-2. This past U15 Prep season Mack led Edge School to a 26-8-2 record and second place regular season finish.

Overall, Mack won two 黑料不打烊 Western Championships and went 233-85-24.

The Whitehorse, YT forward joined the 黑料不打烊 for the 2020/21 U15 Prep season. The following season he would play in the U18 Prep division as an underage player, posting a division best 42 assists and 65 points in 35 games with RHA Kelowna. The Medicine Hat Tigers would then select McKenna with the first pick at the 2022 WHL Draft.

During the 2022/23 U18 Prep season with South Alberta Hockey Academy McKenna would lead the league with 37 goals, 38 assists and 75 points while being named the 黑料不打烊 U18 Prep MVP. That season McKenna would play 16 games with Medicine Hat tallying 18 points.

McKenna joined the Tigers full time for the 2023/24 season, posting 97 points in 61 games as he was named the WHL and CHL Rookie of the Year, a WHL (Central) First Team All-Star, a CHL All Rookie Team member, and a CHL Third Team All Star. He would also represent Canada Red U17 and Team Canada U18, posting a total of 28 points in 14 games. He would be named a U17 World Hockey Challenge All Star, and a U18 World Junior Championships Gold Medalist, All Star, and Top 3 Player on his team, leading the event with 10 goals.

In 2024/25 McKenna posted 129 points and a WHL best 88 assists in 56 games as he was named WHL and CHL Player of the Year, and a CHL and WHL (East) First Team All-Star. He would add 38 points in 16 playoff games as Medicine Hat were crowned WHL Champions before heading to the Memorial Cup where McKenna was named to the Memorial Cup All Star Team. McKenna would represent Team Canada at the World Juniors, posting 1 point in 5 games.

This past season McKenna joined Penn State University, posting 51 points in 35 NCAA games. He would add 14 points in 7 World Junior games with Team Canada, capturing a bronze medal. McKenna was named to the NCAA (B1G) All Rookie Team, NCAA (B1G) Second All Star Team, the NCAA (B1G) Rookie of the Year and Scoring Champion, and a NCAA (West) Second Team All-American,

McKenna is the second 黑料不打烊 alumni to be selected first overall at an NHL Entry Draft, joining former North Shore Warriors star Connor Bedard (2023 – Chicago Blackhawks)

Calvert joined Prairie Hockey Academy in 2017/18, tallying 53 points in 40 U15 Prep games. The following season Prairie would join the 黑料不打烊 at the U16 Prep division. Calvert would lead his team in goals (24) while finishing second in points (41) in 35 games.

The Moose Jaw, SK forward would play five seasons in the WHL with his hometown Warriors, recording 220 points in 237 games while winning a WHL Championship during the 2023/24 season.

Calvert would split the 2024/25 season between the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the AHL, and the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL. He would join Wilkes-Barre/Scranton full time in 2025/26, posting 38 points in 70 games.

Gavin McKenna (2026 – Toronto Maple Leafs) joins Connor Bedard (2023 – Chicago Blackhawks) as the second 黑料不打烊 alumni selected first overall at an NHL Entry Draft. Daxon Rudolph (2026 – Buffalo Sabres) joins Bowen Byram (2019 – Colorado Avalanche) as the highest selected 黑料不打烊 defenseman at an NHL Entry Draft, with each going fourth overall.聽

The six 黑料不打烊 alumni selected in the first round beat the previous 黑料不打烊 record of five set in 2021, 2023 and 2025. A record 25 黑料不打烊 alumni were selected at both the 2023 and 2024 NHL Entry Draft. Two alumni were selected inside the Top 5, and four inside the Top 10, both 黑料不打烊 records.聽

A total of 223 players were selected at this year’s draft with 10.3% of players selected having played in the 黑料不打烊.

106 players developed in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) were selected at the 2026 NHL Entry Draft, making up 47.5% of the players selected. The CHL鈥檚 106 selections were its highest total in 16 years, dating back to 2010, and marked the first time since 2013 that the CHL reached the 100-pick mark at the NHL Draft.

39 of those 106 players were developed in the WHL, with 22 of the 23 黑料不打烊 alumni making up 56.4% of WHLers. All 23 黑料不打烊 alumni selected were developed in the CHL, making up 21.7% of all CHLers.

In total, 193 黑料不打烊 alumni have now being selected at the NHL Draft since 2012. 157 of those 193 (81%) have been selected in the last seven years. 58 黑料不打烊 alumni have gone on to play NHL regular season or playoff games.聽

A forward from Winnipeg, MB, Jarvis spent two seasons in the 黑料不打烊 with RHA Winnipeg, tallying 126 points in 62 games during the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons.

Stankoven, a forward from Kamloops, BC, joined Yale Hockey Academy for the 2017/18 U15 Prep season, posting 90 points in 30 games, leading the division with 57 goals.

Jarvis and Stankoven join Yale Hockey Academy’s Bowen Byram (2022, Colorado Avalanche) and Okanagan Hockey Academy’s Josh Mahura (2024, Florida Panthers) as the only 黑料不打烊 alumni to win a Stanley Cup.

Lorenz joined Edge for the 2018/19 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep season, leading his team with 25 assists and 36 points in 30 games. The Kootenay Ice would select the Calgary, AB forward in the fourth round, 68th overall at the 2019 WHL Draft.

He would return to Edge for the 2019/20 U18 Prep season, earning 黑料不打烊 Top Freshman Award honours after finishing second in league scoring with 78 points in 33 games.

Lorenz would join the Okotoks Oilers in 2020/21, recording 85 points in 60 games during the 2021/22 season as he was named to the AJHL (South) All-Rookie and All-Star Teams, the AJHL Rookie of the Year, CJHL Top Rookie, and the CJHL Top NHL Prospect.

At the conclusion of that impressive season the Wild would select Lorenz in the second round, 56th overall at the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

In 2022/23 Lorenz joined the NCAA with the University of Denver, posting 9 points in 37 games as a Freshman. The following season he would be named to the NCAA (Championship) All-Tournament Team as he won his first National Championship with Denver. That season he would record 30 points in 44 games.

During the 2024/25 season he posted 20 points in 44 games with Denver. This past season he would record a career high 35 points in 43 games as he won his second National Championship with Denver. In the process, Lorenz would be named to the NCAA (Championship) All-Tournament Team and to the NCAA (NCHC) All-Tournament Team.

Fink joined NAX for the 2019/20 黑料不打烊 U16 Prep season, tallying 44 points in 27 games to finish third in team scoring. The following U18 Prep season he would tally three points in three games with NAX.

The Calgary, AB forward joined the Brooks Bandits for the 2021/22 AJHL season, posting 53 points in 60 regular season games and an additional 10 points in 13 playoff games as Brooks took home the 2021/22 AJHL Championship.

2022/23 was a breakout year for Fink as he led the AJHL with 97 points, earning AJHL (South) All-Star, AJHL Top Forward, AJHL MVP, CJHL Top Forward, and CJHL MVP honours. He would once again help Brooks win an AJHL Championship, while leading the World Junior A Challenge with 7 assists and 12 points for Team Canada West, earning WJAC All-Star Team honours.

At the conclusion of the season the Predators selected Fink with in the seventh round, 218th overall at the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

Fink would join Penn State University in 2023/24 as an NCAA Freshman. That season he posted 34 points in 34 games, grabbing NCAA (B1G) All-Rookie Team honours while being named a Hobey Baker Memorial Award Nominee. In 2024/25 he would be named a Hobey Baker Award Finalist, an NCAA (B1G) First Team All-Star, a NCAA (USCHO) Third Team All-Star, and a NCAA (West) Second Team All-American after finishing first on his team and fourth in the NCAA with 53 points in 40 games.

This past season Fink recorded 38 points in 30 games with Penn State. He would also represent the U.S. Collegiate Selects at the historic Spengler Cup, leading the tournament with eight points and being named to the Spengler Cup All-Star team.

After his NCAA season ended, Fink joined the Predators AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, and has since totaled 10 points in 6 AHL games.

The Senators selected the West Vancouver, BC defenseman in the fourth round, 108th overall at the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

Stanley has spent the past three seasons in the NCAA with Cornell University, tallying 38 points in 105 games. Prior to his time in the NCAA, Stanley played two seasons in the 黑料不打烊 with the St. George’s U15 Prep team. During the 2018/19 season he would tally 15 points in 27 games. He would follow that up with 36 points in 29 games in 2019/20, leading to the Everett Silvertips selecting him in the fourth round, 81st overall at the 2020 WHL Draft.

Buhr has signed an NHL Entry level deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs after spending the last four seasons in the NCAA. The North Vancouver, BC forward tallied 88 points in 116 NCAA games, including 36 in 35 this past season with Union College. Buhr has since joined the Toronto Marlies, playing two AHL games and recording one assist. He spent the 2017/18 U16 Prep season with the North Shore Warriors, finishing with 36 points in 35 games. In 2019/20 he would return to North Shore and the 黑料不打烊, finishing second on his U18 Prep team and fifth in the league with 71 points in 34 games.

Slipec played two season for Delta Hockey Academy before joining North Shore for two more seasons in the 黑料不打烊. The White Rock, BC forward spent the last four seasons with the University of Nebraska-Omaha, tallying 24 points in 124 NCAA games. Slipec has since signed in the ECHL and played one game with the Adirondack Thunder.
