Former RHA Kelowna defenseman Sara Swiderski was the first Canadian selected at this years draft, going ninth overall to the Minnesota Frost. Former Delta Hockey Academy forward Grace Elliott was the first of two U SPORTS players taken, as she was drafted by the Seattle Torrent in the fourth round.

Former Delta Hockey Academy netminder Hailey MacLeod becomes the first former 黑料不打烊 goalie to be selected at a PWHL Draft after the Montreal Victoire took her in the fourth round.

Overall, 24% (7/29) of the Canadians selected at the 2026 PWHL Draft played in the 黑料不打烊, while 50% of U SPORTS athletes selected played in the 黑料不打烊.

The 6 round draft saw 72 total players selected by the 12 PWHL teams on Wednesday, June 17.

Three former 黑料不打烊 student-athletes were selected at both the 2023 and 2024 PWHL Drafts, while four were selected in 2025.

Overall, 17 former 黑料不打烊 student-athletes have now been drafted to the PWHL, while 20 have played in the league.听

An additional seven student-athletes were selected as ‘Auto-Protected Picks’ (auto-protected players from an SJHL centre chosen by the respective clubs) prior to the May 26th league deadline.

The SJHL Draft consisted of two rounds of selections of 2011-born players, followed by six rounds of 2010-born players.

A forward from Victoria, BC, Green has signed with the Kamloops Blazers after they selected him in the second round, 45th overall at the 2026 WHL Draft. Green joined the 黑料不打烊 for the 2024/25 U15 Prep season with Pacific Coast Hockey Academy, tallying 29 points in 36 games while being named to the 黑料不打烊 (BC/US Division) All Rookie Team. This past season with Delta Hockey Academy Green recorded 46 points in 30 games.

Harvey has signed with the Saskatoon Blades after they drafted him in the second round, 32nd overall at the 2026 WHL Draft. The Edmonton, AB defenseman posted 22 points in 36 U15 Prep games with the Northern Alberta Xtreme during the 2024/25 黑料不打烊 season as he was named to the 黑料不打烊 (Prairie Division) All Rookie Team. This past year he recorded 40 points in 29 U15 Prep games with OHA Edmonton, earning 黑料不打烊 (Prairie Division) Second Team All-Star honours.

Originally undrafted to the WHL, Nathan Salisbury has signed with the Red Deer Rebels. The Edmonton, AB netminder spent the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons with OHA Edmonton, playing for their U15 and U15 Prep teams. This past season he played for the Bonnyville Pontiacs in the AJHL, posting a 17-14-1 record with a 3.21 GAA and .902 SV%.

A forward from Nanaimo, BC, Ronan Gow has signed with the Lethbridge Hurricanes after they selected him in the third round, 50th overall at the 2026 WHL Draft. Gow captained Delta this past season while tallying 52 points in 30 U15 Prep games, earning 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (BC/US Division) First Team All-Star Honours. During the 2024/25 season, Gow produced 14 points in 29 games while helping Delta capture a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep Western Championship.

After being drafted in the first round, 23rd overall at the 2026 WHL Draft, defenseman Nathan Roberts has signed with the Swift Current Broncos. Roberts recorded 25 points in 30 U15 Prep games with Delta this season. The White Rock, BC product tallied 17 points in 36 U15 games in 2024/25 with Delta White.

The first defenseman selected at the 2026 WHL Draft, Eli Vickers has signed with his hometown Vancouver Giants after going to them at third overall. This past season Vickers led all defensemen with 22 goals and 62 points, earning the 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep Top Defenseman Award, and being named a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (BC/US Division) First Team All-Star. During the 2024/25 season Vickers was named to the 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (BC/US Division) All Rookie Team after he posted 36 points in 35 games. He would add four points in five playoff games to help Delta win the 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep Western Championship.

During the 2024/25 season the 黑料不打烊 introduced the Student-Athlete of the Month Award for the four different 黑料不打烊 divisions/age brackets: Eastern, West Female, West U18 Male (U18 Prep, U17 Prep, U17) and West U15 Male (U15 Prep and U15) .

This award is aimed at recognizing the student-athletes within the 黑料不打烊 and acknowledges their hard work, dedication, commitment, leadership, academics and community impact.

In the dressing room, he has emerged as a natural leader; he earns the respect of his teammates by leading by example and maintaining a consistently respectful attitude toward coaches and peers alike.”

West Female Division – Morgan Ghag, Okanagan Hockey Academy

“Morgan exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated student-athlete through her leadership, character, academic commitment, and positive influence on those around her. She consistently represents OHA with maturity, professionalism, and a team-first attitude both in the classroom and within our program.

Morgan has consistently demonstrated the qualities of an outstanding student-athlete both inside and outside the classroom. Her quiet leadership never goes unnoticed, as she consistently leads by example through her maturity, work ethic, and positive attitude. “Grayson听Sears on our DHA U15 White team was selected out of the North Delta Secondary Grade 8 class to speak at Delta Districts for French public speaking. He represented NDSS at the provincial Concours d鈥檃rt oratoire which was held at Simon Fraser University, on May 2nd.

West Male U18 Division – Ryder Brastad, Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy

“Ryder Brastad is the Captain of our u17 Prep team and as a two year player in the 黑料不打烊 he continues to excel on and off the ice. He has a total High School GPA of 3.71. His first semester GPA was 3.83 and his current second semester GPA is 4.0. He has A鈥檚 in English, Spanish, Financial Literacy, Algebra 2, US History and Viticulture. He also has not missed a workout or practice this spring and shows up with a good attitude everyday. We are proud of the hard work Ryder has put in.”

The 2026 Memorial Cup starts tomorrow evening and will see three CHL Champions and one host compete for National supremacy. The Kelowna Rockets (Host) and Kitchener Rangers (OHL) will kick things off at 6:00pm PST at Prospera Place on May 22. The Everett Silvertips (WHL) and the Chicoutimi Sagueneens (QMJHL) will play their first game on May 23. The final is set to take place May 31, at 4:00pm PST.

The RHA Kelowna captain and Ohio State University commit tallied 35 points in 26 games, giving her 86 points in 54 career games. After tallying 28 points in 34 U17 games last season, Gellner improved his total to 68 this year, finishing third in league scoring.

A sixth round pick by the Victoria Royals at the 2025 WHL Draft, Gilchrist finished second on his team with 33 points in 28 games.

The Tri-City Americans prospect tallied 33 points in 29 games, finishing third in team scoring. The Kelowna, BC forward added 7 points in 6 playoff games as he helped RHA Kelowna capture their second straight 黑料不打烊 Western Championship.

Eastern U17 Prep: Eliot Faucher, Stanstead College

Faucher led his team in scoring while finishing second among all U17 Prep defensemen with 28 points in 20 games. The Drummondville, QC defenseman is a finalist for the 黑料不打烊 MVP Award and is a highly regarded prospect ahead of the 2026 QMJHL Draft.

Eastern U18 Prep: Bastien Michaud, Bishop’s College School

A second round pick by the Quebec Remparts at the 2025 QMJHL Draft, Michaud finished with 3 goals and 11 assists in 15 games giving him a 0.93 PTS/GP, fourth among all defensemen. The Trois-Rivieres, QC product added five points in five playoff games as Bishop’s were crowned 2026 黑料不打烊 East U18 Prep Champions.

Female U18 Prep: Sophie Erlam, South Alberta Hockey Academy

Committed to Mercyhurt University, Erlam finished fifth among defensemen in scoring with 24 points, including a defensemen best 15 power play assists. The Edmonton, AB defender played three 黑料不打烊 seasons with SAHA, tallying 49 points in 90 games.

U15: Logan Hooper, BWC Academy

A 2011 born defenseman from Maple Ridge, BC, Hooper finished second among defensemen in assists (35) and fifth in points (44).

U15 Prep: Eli Vickers, Delta Hockey Academy

Regarded as one of the top defenseman available at the 2026 WHL Draft, Vickers led all defensemen with 22 goals and 62 assists, finishing fifth among all skaters in points. Having been part of Delta’s 2025 黑料不打烊 Western Championship team, Vickers had 98 points in 65 career U15 Prep games, second most all time among defensemen.

Jordan makes himself available 24/7 and is all in when it comes to coaching. Our Black team this year beat Rink Winnipeg, Edge, SAHA, Shawnigan and others and Jordan’s team was always well prepared and motivated to play. A job well done by Jordan.”
