Edwards has signed with the Brandon Wheat Kings after they selected him in the first round, 18th overall at the 2026 WHL Draft. The Regina, SK forward recorded 43 points in 28 U15 Prep games with the Northern Alberta Xtreme this past season.

A netminder from Coquitlam, BC, Mitrikas was selected in the third round, 58th overall by the Edmonton Oil Kings at the 2025 WHL Draft. He joined the 黑料不打烊 during the 2023/24 U15 season going 6-6-0 with a 4.80 GAA and .894 SV% in 12 games with the North Shore Warriors. The following U15 Prep season Mitrikas went 3-14-3 with a 3.47 GAA and .926 SV% as he was named a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep (BC/US Division) Second Team All-Star.

This past season Mitrikas would go 5-9-1 with a .911 SV% and 4.13 GAA in 18 U18 Prep games with the Warriors.

A forward from Calgary, AB, Ryan Boyce spent two seasons with Edge School. He would join their U15 Prep team for the 2022/23 黑料不打烊 season, tallying 37 points in 30 games leading to the Wheat Kings selecting him in the fifth round, 94th overall at the 2023 WHL Draft.

The following U17 Prep campaign Boyce recorded 28 points in 29 games with Edge.

Max Lavoie joined PCHA for the 2020/21 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep season. The following U16 Prep campaign he would tally 9 goals and 17 assists in 34 games.

The Victoria, BC defenseman spent the 2024/25 season in the MJHL with the Winkler Flyers, recording 32 points in 58 games.

The Wheat Kings selected both players at the 2025 WHL Draft, taking Fayad in the second round, 38th overall, and Chan in the fourth round, 83rd overall.

A netminder from Calgary, AB, Chan joined St. George’s School for the 2023/24 U15 season going 3-6-0 with 1 shutout, a 4.94 GAA and .877 SV%. This past U15 Prep season he went 13-4-0 with a 2.45 GAA and .918 SV%.

Fayad joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) in 2023/24, earning 黑料不打烊 U15 Prairie Division First Team All-Star honours after leading the division with 76 points in 28 games. He would add 14 points in 5 playoff games as NAX captured the 2024 黑料不打烊 U15 Western Championship.

This past season Fayad would again earn 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep Prairie Division First Team All-Star honours after posting a division best 54 assists, and coming second in league scoring with 81 points in 36 games.

The Pasco, WA forward joined STAR Hockey Academy for their inaugural 黑料不打烊 season in 2023/24. That U15 campaign he would tally 16 goals and 19 assists in 22 games.

This past season Ellingsen recorded 24 goals and 30 assists in 34 U15 Prep games, while captaining STAR. His performance this season would earn him U15 Prep BC Division First Team All-Star honours.

Current 黑料不打烊 student-athletes Logan Henry, Cruz Jim and Cole Landreville and former 黑料不打烊 student-athlete Ben Oliverio have all signed with their respective WHL teams.

Henry joined the 黑料不打烊 in 2023/24, posting 30 points in 27 U15 Prep games with BWC Academy. He returned to BWC Academy for the 2024/25 U15 Prep season, finishing fourth on his team with 51 points in 31 games. The Prince George, BC forward would earn BC Division Second Team All-Star honours, leading to the Regina Pats selecting him in the first round, 23rd overall at the 2025 WHL Draft.

A defenseman from Grande Prairie, AB, Jim joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) U15 Prep team in 2023/24 tallying 17 points in 27 games. He would add four points in five playoff games as NAX won the 2024 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep Western Championships. This season Jim played 35 games, setting a U15 Prep record for a defenseman with 53 assists. He would add 13 goals to lead all defensemen with 66 points, earning him U15 Prep Top Defenseman and Prairie Division First Team All-Star honours. The Brandon Wheat Kings selected Jim with the 12th pick at the 2025 WHL Draft.

Like Henry and Jim, Landreville joined the 黑料不打烊 for the 2023/24 U15 Prep season. The St. Claude, MB forward played 27 games with Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (PMHA), recording 32 points in 27 games. This season he would lead his team while finishing seventh in U15 Prep scoring with 65 points in 35 games. Landreville would be named a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep Prairie Division First Team All-Star while being selected in the second round, 25th overall at the 2025 WHL Draft by the Edmonton Oil Kings.

Oliverio joined the 黑料不打烊 as an underage player for the 2022/23 U15 season, recording 23 points in 27 games. The following U15 Prep campaign with Edge School he produced 30 points in 27 games. The Tri-City Americans selected Oliverio 9th overall at the 2025 WHL Draft.

The 10 team tournament will take place December 26-Jan. 5 in Ottawa, ON. Four 黑料不打烊 alumni will represent Team Canada at the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championships.

• Sawyer Mynio – Seattle Thunderbirds/WHL (Yale Hockey Academy)

A first round pick by the Nashville Predators at the 2023 NHL Draft, Molendyk is one of five returning players who represented Canada at the 2024 World Juniors. Bjarnason will represent Team Canada for the third time. The 2023 2nd round NHL Pick by the Philadelphia Flyers won gold at the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and Bronze at the 2023 U18 World Championships.

McKenna, who is expected to be the first overall pick at the 2026 NHL Draft, has won gold for Canada at the 2024 IIHF U18 World Championships and the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. This will be the first time Mynio, a Vancouver Canucks 2023 third round pick, represents Team Canada on the international stage.

The 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship begins on Boxing Day with Canada kicking off its tournament schedule against Finland, while the United States will play Germany. The two teams will meet on Dec. 31 to wrap up preliminary-round action. The knock-out round will begin with the quarter-finals on January 2.

The tournament, which is set to take place November 3-9 at Progressive Auto Sales Arena in Sarnia, ON, will see 44 players represent Team Canada White and Team Canada Red.

Among the 44 players selected are 15 from the WHL, 12 of which played in the 黑料不打烊 including 2023 and 2024 WHL Draft first overall picks Daxon Rudolph and Landon DuPont. After joining fellow 黑料不打烊 alumnus Connor Bedard as the only two players in WHL History to receive Exceptional Status, DuPont is the lone 2009 born player on the Team Canada rosters.

The 12 黑料不打烊 alumni represent six different 黑料不打烊 member programs: Okanagan Hockey Academy (3), RHA Kelowna (3), Edge School (2), Northern Alberta Xtreme (2), Delta Hockey Academy, and Pilot Mound Hockey Academy.

This will be the second time Lin, Preston, L. Ruck, M. Ruck, Rudolph, and Verhoeff represent Team Canada, having previously done so at the 2024 Youth Olympics.

The 2024 U17 World Challenge kicks off on November 3, with Canada White taking on Czechia at 3:30 p.m. ET and Canada Red facing off against Finland at 7:30 p.m. ET. Teams will play two preliminary-round games before the medal round, which concludes on Nov. 9 with the medal games, as well as the fifth-place game. The event will also feature pre-tournament games in Sarnia, Petrolia and Forest on November 1.

Binder Nord joined Edge School during the 2020/21 U15 AAA season. The following U15 Prep campaign he would record 18 points in 28 games. In 2022/23 the Calgary, AB forward finished with 11 goals and 15 assists in 28 games. This past U18 Prep campaign he tallied 4 goals and 8 assists in 26 games. He would add 2 assists in 5 playoff games as Edge were crowned 黑料不打烊 U18 Prep Western Champions.

A defenseman from Ponoka, AB, Ronald joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) for the 2021/22 U16 Prep campaign. In 34 games he would record 24 points before adding 3 points in 5 playoff games as NAX took home the 2022 黑料不打烊 U16 Prep Western Championship title. Ronald would record 14 points in 19 U18 Prep games the following season. He would start the 2023/24 season back with the NAX U18 Prep team before joining the Drumheller Dragons in the AJHL, finishing with 3 points in 18 games.

Both Binder Nord and Ronald were undrafted to the WHL.

Hyland recently wrapped up his fifth and final season in the WHL with the Brandon Wheat Kings. After making his WHL debut in 2019/20, Hyland recorded 145 points in 195 WHL games.

The Edmonton, AB forward spent the 2017/18 season with the NAX U15 Prep team tallying 35 points in 17 games. The Wheat Kings would select him in the second round, 24th overall at the 2018 WHL Draft.

Hyland was originally selected by the Washington Capitals at the 2023 NHL Entry Draft in the seventh round, 200th overall.

Finnie spent three seasons in the 黑料不打烊 with Yale Hockey Academy. The Lethbridge, AB forward joined the program in 2018/19, playing for their U15, U15 Prep and U18 Prep team. In 65 total games he would record 51 goals and 56 assists. After being selected in the fourth round, 82nd overall at the 2020 WHL Draft by the Kamloops Blazers, Finnie would join the club in 2021/22, tallying 6 points in 48 games.

Last season he would finish with 35 points in 64 games which lead the Detroit Red Wings to select him in the seventh round of the 2023 NHL Draft. This season Finnie finished with 59 points in 62 WHL games with the Blazers.

A goaltender from Calgary, AB, Ungar joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) U16 Prep team in 2017/18, winning a 黑料不打烊 Western Championship that year. He would start the following season with the NAX U18 Prep team before splitting the second half of the year between the AJHL with the Okotoks Oilers, and the WHL with the Brandon Wheat Kings. Undrafted to the WHL, Ungar would bounce around between the Wheat Kings and the AJHL’s Whitecourt Wolverines for the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.

Ungar would spend the entirety of the 2021/22 season in the WHL with the Red Deer Rebels before joining the Moose Jaw Warriors for the 2022/23 WHL season. He would finish his WHL career with a 2.57GAA, .917SV%, 3 shutouts and a 53-20-2 record in 87 total games.

This season Ungar joined Brock University where he was named a USports (OUA West) All-Rookie Team, First Team All-Star, Goaltender of the Year and Rookie of the Year after posting a 2.15GAA and .932SV% in 26 games. Ungar was undrafted to the NHL but has signed with the Edmonton Oilers.
