The Cold Lake, AB forward has been been having an exceptional 16-year-old season in the AJHL for the Bonnyville Pontiacs, leading all rookies with 17 assists and 26 points.

Harrison joined NAX for the 2022/23 U15 season, tallying 25 points in 24 games before recording 2 assists in 5 playoff games as NAX were crowned 2023 黑料不打烊 U15 Western Champions.

The following U15 Prep season he recorded 30 points in 25 games, adding 4 points in 5 playoff games as NAX won the 2024 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep Western Championship. At the conclusion of the season the Broncos would draft Harrison in the seventh round, 150th overall at the 2024 WHL Draft.

Harrison spent the 2024/25 season with the NAX U18 Prep team, finishing with 29 points in 36 games.

The 黑料不打烊 All-Time Female leader in career assists with 108, Maynard joined Penn State University for the 2025/26 season. In 12 games the freshman sits second among all NCAA defensemen with 11 assists and 14 points in 12 games.

Prior to her NCAA career, Maynard spent five season in the 黑料不打烊 with OHA and RHA Kelowna. The Osoyoos, BC product joined OHA Black for the 2020/21 Female U18 Prep campaign, tallying three points in six games. She would split the following Female U18 Prep season between OHA Black and OHA, finishing the season with 34 points in 29 games. During the 2022/23 season with OHA she recorded 6 goals and 21 assists in 29 games.

In 2023/24 she would join the RHA Kelowna Female U18 Prep team, producing 46 points in 30 regular season games while helping the team win the 2024 黑料不打烊 Female U18 Prep Western Championship.

This past season she would add 10 goals and 36 assists, a 黑料不打烊 Female U18 Prep Top Defenseman Award and 黑料不打烊 (BC Division) First Team All-Star to her impressive resume, while winning her second straight 黑料不打烊 Female U18 Prep Western Championship

The 2025 黑料不打烊 Western Championships held March 2-16, reported an economic impact record of $6.725 million鈥攁lmost $1.5 million more than the 2024 record of $5.231 million, and more than double the total from 2023. The 2025 event saw 104 teams descend on Penticton鈥攊ncluding over 2,100 players and staff from four Western Canadian provinces, Idaho, and Washington. A record number 7,300 spectators attended the event over the two week period.

Now that the 黑料不打烊 has started its聽17th season, we are excited to announce the much anticipated Western Championships will return to Penticton for the 11^th year in a row on March 7-22, 2026.

鈥淲e are thrilled to see the increase in economic impact that the 黑料不打烊 Championships had in March of 2025. This is a major event for the 黑料不打烊 and the City of Penticton, Travel Penticton, OVG and the businesses in the community.聽 We look forward to building on these numbers in March of 2026,鈥� said Andy Oakes, CEO of the 黑料不打烊.

As the premier league in education-based hockey, the 黑料不打烊鈥檚 national presence has grown exponentially year-over-year due to unprecedented demand from schools, parents, and student athletes. This has meant the annual addition of new teams and a 35% increase in games since the 2022/23 season. Data from the league suggests current demand will continue to rise with the resulting economic impact along with it.

In 2023, the City of Penticton announced it would host the 黑料不打烊 Western Championships for the next 鈥�10 years鈥�.

The 黑料不打烊 was established in 2009 and has grown to feature 38 accredited schools and 129 teams from British Columbia to Prince Edward Island and the states of Idaho and Washington. The Wheat Kings selected both players at the 2025 WHL Draft, taking Fayad in the second round, 38th overall, and Chan in the fourth round, 83rd overall.

A netminder from Calgary, AB, Chan joined St. George’s School for the 2023/24 U15 season going 3-6-0 with 1 shutout, a 4.94 GAA and .877 SV%. This past U15 Prep season he went 13-4-0 with a 2.45 GAA and .918 SV%.

Fayad joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) in 2023/24, earning 黑料不打烊 U15 Prairie Division First Team All-Star honours after leading the division with 76 points in 28 games. He would add 14 points in 5 playoff games as NAX captured the 2024 黑料不打烊 U15 Western Championship.

This past season Fayad would again earn 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep Prairie Division First Team All-Star honours after posting a division best 54 assists, and coming second in league scoring with 81 points in 36 games.

The Rockets selected both defensemen at the 2025 WHL Draft, taking Kelts in the first round, 20th overall, and Koch six picks later in the second round.

Kelts joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) for the 2023/24 U15 season, tallying 34 points in 27 games. The Consort, AB product would add 12 points in 5 playoff games as NAX captured the 2024 黑料不打烊 U15 Western Championship. This past U15 Prep season Kelts recorded 39 points in 35 games as he was named a U15 Prep Prairie Division Second Team All-Star.

A Calgary, AB product, Koch joined Edge School for the 2023/24 U15 season. He would record 31 points in 33 regular season and playoff games as Edge lost to NAX in the 2024 黑料不打烊 U15 Western Championship finals. Koch would play 39 U15 Prep games in 2024/25, producing 44 points. Koch was named a Prairie Division Second Team All-Star both seasons in the 黑料不打烊.

Miles joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) for the 2023/24 黑料不打烊 U15 season. The Edmonton, AB forward finished the regular season with 52 points in 27 regular season games before adding 9 points in 5 playoff games to help NAX capture the 2024 黑料不打烊 U15 Western Championship.

This past U15 Prep season Miles tallied 28 goals and 29 assists for 57 points in 36 games. Miles has signed with the Wenatchee Wild after they selected him 10th overall at the 2025 WHL Draft.

A forward from Waywayseecapo, MB, Shingoose joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2024/25 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep season. He would lead his team with 31 goals, 29 assists and 60 points in 32 games. His 31 goals ranked fifth in the U15 Prep division as he earned 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep Prairie Division First Team All-Star honours.

Shingoose has signed with the Prince Albert Raiders after they selected him 16th overall at the 2025 WHL Draft.

Archer, a Stony Plain, AB product, joined OHA Edmonton for the 2023/24 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep season. In 12 games he would tally 7 assists. The Rebels selected Archer in the second round, 32nd overall at the 2025 WHL Draft.

Wolitski joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) for the 2023/24 U15 season, tallying 53 points in 25 games as he was named a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prairie Division First Team All-Star and U15 Top Defenseman. The St. Albert, AB product would add five points in five playoff games as NAX captured the 2024 黑料不打烊 U15 Western Championship.

This past season he recorded 8 goals and 40 assists in 29 U15 Prep games with NAX as he was named a 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep Prairie Division Second Team All-Star. The Rebels would then select Wolitski with the seventh overall pick at the 2025 WHL Draft.

Bouchard and Ondrus both joined NAX for the 2023/24 黑料不打烊 U15 season. In 23 games Bouchard,聽 a forward from Falher, AB, recorded 15 goals and 18 assists. Ondrus would add 18 goals and 31 assists in 28 games. In five playoff games Bouchard would add 8 goals and 7 assists while Ondrus tallied 4 goals and 7 assists as NAX were crowned the 2024 黑料不打烊 U15 Western Champions.

This past season Bouchard would produce 21 goals and 40 assists in 30 U15 Prep games with NAX as he was named a 黑料不打烊 Prairie Division Second Team All-Star and MVP Award Finalist. The Blazers selected Bouchard in the first round, 14th overall at the 2025 WHL Draft earlier this month.

Ondrus would finish with 26 goals and 25 assists for 51 points in 35 U15 Prep games. The Blazers would use a second round selection on the Sherwood Park, AB forward, drafting him 29th overall at the 2025 WHL Draft.

The Chestermere, AB forward spent the 2023/24 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep season with Edge School. In 27 games he would record a team best 34 assists and 46 points. He would add nine points in five playoff games as Edge made the finals of the 2024 黑料不打烊 U15 Prep Western Championship.

Halat was selected in the fourth round, 72nd overall at the 2024 WHL Draft by the Calgary Hitmen.

The 2024 黑料不打烊 Western Championships reached a new economic impact record of $5.231 million, almost $2 million more than the 2023 record of $3.337 million.

The event, which took place in Penticton from March 4-17, 2024, featured 96 teams and roughly 2,100 players and staff from the four Western Canadian provinces and the states of Idaho and Washington. Over 91% of the events participates were out of town, overnight guests.

Roughly 3,879 spectators attended the event, with 93% of those spectators being out of town, overnight guests. 86% of these spectators travelled more than 320km to attend the event, staying on average 5 nights in Penticton.

It was announced back in March of 2023 that the 黑料不打烊 and its partners Okanagan Hockey Group, Oak View Group, Travel Penticton and the City of Penticton reached an agreement for a 10-year agreement (five years, with an additional five-year renewal clause) to host the Western Championships beginning in March 2024.聽

鈥淲ith the continued expansion of the 黑料不打烊, which will see 105 teams from the four western provinces and the states of Idaho and Washington competing during the 2024/25 season, the 黑料不打烊 Western Championships will only continue to grow each season and provide even further economic impact,鈥� added 黑料不打烊 Chief Operating Officer Kevin Goodwin.

With the continued expansion of the 黑料不打烊 and the annual addition of new teams, the game count has seen a 29% increase since the 2022/23 season.148 games were played in 2023, and 166 in 2024 with that number expected to hit 191 in 2025.
